Fushimi Inari Taisha
Fushimi Inari is a shrine in Kyoto famously known for it's 10,000 torii (gates) that visitors can walk through. Make sure to wear comfortable footwear if visiting; it's a fair amount of walking.
Nara Park (60 minutes by train south of Kyoto)
Nara is most well known for its large population of deer. You will be able to purchase biscuits to feed to the deer in Nara Park.
Osaka (45 minutes by train south of Kyoto)
