Semi-Formal: Tuxes and gowns are welcome, and so are suits and cocktail dresses.
Please note that the ceremony will be held in a traditional temple setting with very limited seating and delicate furniture items. As such, we are kindly requesting no additional guests or children, please. They are more than welcome to join the reception to follow, though! This will be taking place in an outdoor area without a heater. It can get chilly in Japan in November, so plan accordingly. We ask that guests make their own arrangements in regards to transportation to the temple. We have scheduled a bus to take all guests from the temple to the Ace Hotel Kyoto after the ceremony. As the bus will only drop off at the hotel, we recommend any guests who opt not to stay at the Ace Hotel Kyoto to book lodging nearby in the case that you want to stop by your place of accommodation before the reception.
5:15 pm - 6:00 pm
Cocktail Attire: Wear cocktail dresses, LBDs, dressy jumpsuits, and dark jackets and slacks.
There will be a shuttle bus to take the entire party from the temple to the hotel. There will be a few light bites and drinks served.
6:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Cocktail Attire: Wear cocktail dresses, LBDs, dressy jumpsuits, and dark jackets and slacks.
Dinner will be served at this time.
