Accommodations

Please secure your accommodations as early as possible. We are getting married on one of the busiest weekends in Highlands, NC. It is a 3-day weekend and the week the leaves change colors in autumn. We've been told that bookings could be difficult to secure after October of 2023. Also note, some accommodations may require a 3-night minimum stay due to the holiday weekend.

Flight

Airport Information

The two closest airports to Highlands, NC are Asheville, AVL, 1.2 hours away, and Atlanta, ATL, 2.5 hours away. Asheville, while closer, doesn't have as many flight options, and flights may be more expensive. Atlanta, ATL, is a hub for Delta Air Lines, so definitely check their flight schedules for the most options and lowest prices.

Shuttle

Shuttle from the Old Edwards Inn and 200 Main to The Farm Wedding Venue

October 13, 2024 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm

Due to limited parking at the wedding venue itself, we will have 2 shuttles running between the wedding venue and 2 Hotels in Highlands, NC. The two shuttle pick up points are: - Church Street in front of the Old Edwards Inn Spa. (You can park on Main Street or Church Street near Old Edwards Inn.) - 200 Main Hotel Near Swimming Pool. (There is a large number of parking spaces on the backside of the hotel. Also, it is an easy walk across the street for those staying at The Park on Main Hotel). Transportation will begin at 3:00 p.m. and run until all guests arrive. Please plan to be seated by 3:50 p.m. Return transportation will begin at 8:00 p.m. and run in continuous loops past 10:00 p.m. until all quests are transported back to The Spa at Old Edwards Inn and 200 Main.

Skyline Lodge

A lovely, newly renovated lodge located on a mountain-top nine miles from Highlands, North Carolina. Originally built in the 1930s, the storied lodge contains an open-air courtyard, a steakhouse and bar and lounge. If you love nature and want to be nestled in the mountains, you'll love this lodge.

VRBO, AirBNB, or Hometogo

Great Opportunities at VRBO, AirBNB or Hometogo. Highlands, NC is home to numerous wonderful vacation homes. Owned by wealthy vacationers from North and South Carolina, Georgia and Tennessee, these homes are made available for rent when not in use by homeowners. If you don't find a home you love, continue to check back as some homes will come on the market between now and January 2024. It is recommended you book as soon as you find something you like due to the popularity of our wedding weekend (3 Day weekend and Fall Foliage weekend).
