Absolutely, please just send us a quick e-mail at Jody.Lev.B@gmail.com so we can properly plan for your guest.
Absolutely. We planned the event in hopes everyone can drop by at some point. It is a come and go event with a come as you are dress code. We just want to be able to visit with everyone and allow everyone to meet and visit with each other. There will be food and drinks, live music, and games throughout. We will even have college football on tv. So, bring the whole family. We can't wait to see you!
The wedding venue, The Farm at Old Edwards Inn, is just outside of town. It has very limited parking lots in order to retain the beauty of the area. The vendors supporting the wedding will utilize most of the close parking. If you choose to drive, you might end up at a remote lot requiring a hike to the venue. To make the shuttles more inviting, all riders will be greeted at The Farm with champagne and sparkling water.
Due to limited parking at the wedding venue itself, we will have 2 shuttles running between the wedding venue and 2 Hotels in Highlands, NC. The two shuttle pick up points are: - Church Street in front of the Old Edwards Inn Spa. (You can park on Main Street or Church Street near Old Edwards Inn.) - 200 Main Hotel Near Swimming Pool. (There is a large number of parking spaces on the backside of the hotel. Also, it is an easy walk across the street for those staying at The Park on Main Hotel). Transportation will begin at 3:00 p.m. and run until all guests arrive. Please plan to be seated by 3:50 p.m. Return transportation will begin at 8:00 p.m. and run in continuous loops past 10:00 p.m. until all quests are transported back to The Spa at Old Edwards Inn and 200 Main.
The wedding venues are fully enclosed if weather dictates. If rain is forecast, you might bring a small umbrella for travel between your car and the shuttles. The Cocktail hour venue has opportunities to enjoy the outdoor gardens. If interested, ladies might bring a light jacket.
The recommended dress code is Black Tie optional. This means that tuxedos are, well, optional. It is totally acceptable to swap out the tuxedo jacket for a structured suit jacket with an understated tie. Darker colors are preferred. For the ladies, a full-length evening gown is preferred but not a must. A midi-length dress is also completely acceptable.
Please e-mail us at Jody.Lev.B@gmail.com. Provide the name of the guest and their dietary restrictions.
We respectfully request that you do not take photos during the ceremony. Holding the cameras for optimal pictures usually blocks someone else's view. We will post wedding photos on our website so you can download any that you want.
We will have childcare available at the Farmhouse starting at 3:30 p.m ending with the reception at 10:00 p.m. Children under 10 are welcome to attend the wedding ceremony from 4:00 to 4:30 and the Cocktail Hour from 4:30 to 5:30. It is strongly recommended that you take the child to childcare by 6:00 p.m. at the latest. Their child friendly dinners will be served at the Farmhouse starting at 6:00. We will have limited seating at the reception making it difficult to accommodate children during dinner. We will have numerous sitters on hand and will have games, movies and puzzles to keep the children happily engaged from 3:30 to 10:00. The Farmhouse is a 2-minute walk from the wedding and reception venues so you can check on your children as frequently as you wish.
