Things to do around Narragansett

The Wedding Website of Erin Marie Van Ness and Jace Patrick Brouillette
Arriving early? Staying late? Here are some of our personal favorite local spots in town if you're looking to fill some down time for the weekend! Narragansett is known for its historic beaches. Fisherman's Memorial State Park, located near Galilee, contains a former military fort (Fort Greene) and a campground. The venue, The Towers, is a historic structure and the only remnant of the Narragansett Pier Casino built in the 1883. The Casino was the center of social life in Narragansett during the late 19th century and rivaled Newport Casino's popularity as a resort for the social elite until it burned down to the ground in 1900, leaving only the Towers standing, the only original piece of structure left today. Narragansett tends to lure travelers away from more crowded coastal destinations with its beautifully maintained beaches, quirky restaurants, historic landmarks, and laid-back surf-town vibes. So, relax, kick-back and get ready to enjoy your weekend!
