Black Mountain Lodge is the mid-mountain lodge at Arapahoe Basin, which means that we'll all be taking the chairlift to get there! See the video of what to expect here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4a0qzVMaToo
We love everyone's little ones, but unfortunately due to size limitations at the venue this will be an adult-only wedding.
Yes, it definitely is. The wedding is going to be at 11,500 feet. This means staying hydrated is going to be very important and at this elevation the general guideline is that one alcoholic beverage has the impact of two, so please keep that in mind if imbibing.
We are hoping for a typical mid September day with a high temperature in the mid 60s and a low in the mid 40s. However, this is Colorado so snow is not impossible this time of year. The weather at the venue will typically be about 10 degrees colder than the forecasted temperature in Keystone. So please check the weather before packing and make sure to bring a nice warm coat to the ceremony for the chairlift ride back down (even if it's not cocktail attire, we want you to be warm more than we care about the dress code) :)
Welcome party: casual attire, wear what you would typically wear to a brewery! Note that temperatures will drop quickly in the evening, so be sure to bring a jacket even if it's warm during the day. Wedding: Cocktail attire. If wearing heels we recommend a block/wedge heel for the uneven walk from the chairlift to the venue. The ceremony & cocktail hour will be outdoors, so wear shoes & clothes that you're comfortable being outdoors in for a couple of hours. Don't forget a jacket for the way down!
Arapahoe Basing is about a 10 minute drive from Keystone. There is ample parking at the venue for guests who want to drive themselves. We will also be providing a shuttle service from Keystone to Arapahoe Basin for guests who do not want to drive. For more information about the shuttle services from Keystone to the venue please see the Travel page.
Arapahoe Basin (where the wedding will take place) does not have lodging on site. We recommend guests stay in Keystone, CO which is a 10 minute drive from the venue. For more details on lodging recommendations and info about the room blocks we have booked please see the travel page.
If you have a food allergy or are vegan, please let us know ahead of time so we can let our coordinator know and have a meal plated separately.
