This train ride is amazing! It brings you through the mountains to Silverton CO. The trip takes approx 4 hours. I highly suggest you take the bus back to Durango. Its only an hour drive back to town.
Not up for a mountain hike? Then enjoy easy walk through town. Enjoy the scenery as you walk through the town of Durango. The trail follows the river and parts of the train tracks. See boaters going down the river and the local animals (mostly deer). Many restaurants are along the way and Animas Brewery if you need a break for a drink.
Defiantly worth the drive. The views are incredible. Make sure to bring plenty of water and take some of the guided tours!
This is also commonly called Purgatory.
Go rent a paddleboard or a kayak and relax by the lake.
This place has some great local foods to take home with you!
Dean hand makes the wine in the back!
A European Touch is a perfect fit in a ski town like Durango. Longtime Durango chef, Michel Poumay has brought that touch in the form of authentic French crepes, to the heart of downtown with Michel's Corner. Who knew you would find one of the best crepes you ever had in your life in South West Colorado. Not only is the food great but Chef Michel is a up beat funny guy that will keep you on your toes when you order.
