Carrie and Grant had been seeing the same hair stylist, Kyra, for over two years. During that time, Kyra was persistent that they go on a blind date. Finally, they both gave into Kyra's wishes while sharing the mutual hair cut date of December 3rd. Two days later, Carrie and Grant went to Packards for dinner. Carrie called an audible to finish the date at Nic's to watch the OU vs. Baylor football game and have a few beers. The next day, Grant told his golfing crew that his Saturday night date wanted to watch the OU game, to which everyone agreed he should pursue her. The rest is history!

It didn't take long for Grant to know that Carrie was the one. On her birthday, she thought that he was treating her to her favorite lunch spot in Norman, The Mont, for a swirl and a campus walk. Grant wore the same clothes and hat he wears everyday so she wouldn't be suspicious of a proposal. The walk led them to the football stadium where they were standing below the clock tower. Carrie is a die hard OU football fan so Grant knew this spot would hold a special place in her heart. This will be a place for them to visit for years to come on Saturdays in the fall. And she said yes!
