Black-owned business. Loretta was a pioneer in the community and recently passed away from breast cancer. Bryan and I loved visiting her stand for the best beignets in NOLA. Do yourself a favor and go here instead of Cafe Du Monde. Shorter lines and they feature beignets that are stuffed with praline sauce and crawfish! There is also another location in the French Market. Please call or check their IG page for updates on hours of operation. They sell and ship king cakes!
The French Quarter is the city’s historic heart, famous for its vibrant nightlife and colorful buildings with cast-iron balconies. Crowd- pleasing Bourbon Street features jazz-clubs, Cajun eateries and bars serving potent cocktails. Quieter streets lead to the French Market, with gourmet food and local crafts, and to Jackson Square where street performers entertain in front of soaring St Louis Cathedral.
