Flight

MSY

New Orleans' airport is Louis Armstrong International Airport (MSY) located in Kenner. MSY is about 25-30 minutes by car from uptown or New Orleans. Uber/Lyft are available at the airport and typical fare is around $35 to downtown but can be double that in busier times. There is also a well-organized taxi line with flat rates between MSY and anywhere in the New Orleans city limits. The taxi flat rate is $36 for 1-2 passengers, or $15 per person for 3 or more passengers. Nonstop flights are available from LAX on Delta, Southwest, and Spirit. Fares on the major airlines can run as low as $240 although that is not likely for weekend dates. Any fare under $350 is competitive and if you find that we would suggest you book it right away! Fares on Spirit are lower, just be aware of how Spirit differs from the major airlines in their luggage and other policies. We would recommend using Google Flights or Kayak and setting up a price alert to track flight prices!
