Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Gordon Gebert and Carter Frazee
Palm Springs is by very definition an oasis in the desert. Nestled at the base of a daunting mountain range and sprinkled with palm trees adjourning midcentury modern and Spanish-style casitas, there's truly something for everyone here. Whether you want to sip a martini by the pool in your caftan or hike in the neighboring Joshua Tree Park, we hope you'll make the most out of the weekend, or stay for a few extra days to discover all this very special place has to offer.
Downtown Palm Springs

Downtown Palm Springs

Palm Springs, CA

Downtown Palm Springs is made up of North Palm Canyon Drive and Indian Canyon Drive, which run due north to south and feature plentiful dining, bar and shopping options including incredible art galleries and vintage shops.

Palm Springs Art Museum

Palm Springs Art Museum

101 North Museum Drive, Palm Springs, CA 92262

The Palm Springs Art Museum has a number of indoor and outdoor exhibits and is great for all ages. Conveniently located just behind The Rowan, worth checking out if you are looking to escape the heat!

Vista Las Palmas

Vista Las Palmas

Palm Springs, CA 92262

A personal favorite of the grooms, Vista Las Palmas is a stunning neighborhood to either drive or walk through and admire some incredible midcentury modern homes. Don't miss the Kauffman Desert House featured in Don't Worry Darling and prominently in Carter and Gordon's living room in the famous Slim Aaron's photo.

Palm Springs Aerial Tramway

Palm Springs Aerial Tramway

1 Tramway Road, Palm Springs, CA 92262

If you're looking for stunning views of the Palm Springs valley without any effort involved, look no further than the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway, located a cool 10 minutes north of downtown Palm Springs. The aerial tramway takes you to the very top of the mountain with stunning views. Fair warning, it'll likely be VERY chilly up there!

Cactus to Clouds Trail

Cactus to Clouds Trail

Skyline Trail, Palm Springs, CA 92262

Located just behind The Rowan and Art Museum, Cactus to Clouds is quite literally a vertical climb up the main mountain range that serves as the backdrop to Palm Springs. Would recommend only for those whose knees are up for the climb!

Palm Canyon

Palm Canyon

38515 S Palm Canyon Dr, Palm Springs, CA 92264

If you're looking for an experience like Joshua Tree but can't dedicate the time to making it, Palm Canyon is located just 20 minutes south of downtown Palm Springs and can be a very easy, brief hike or a more intensive one depending on what you're up for. Starting with an incredible palm tree oasis, the trail takes you between the mountain pass and you might even spot a few Mountain Goats!

Joshua Tree National Park

Joshua Tree National Park

Pinto Basin Rd, Twentynine Palms, CA 92277

Roughly a 1 hour drive from Palm Springs to the south entrance of this sprawling national park, Joshua Tree is the premiere nature destination in the region. Whether you drive through the park or explore one of the many trails, you can't go wrong. Please note it can get VERY hot in Joshua Tree midday and it is recommended to isolate hikes to the early morning.
