Bridal Procession On The Oslofjord

In Norway, toasts and speeches are a cherished tradition at weddings. 

Historically, Norwegians have celebrated with skåls (toasts) and drikkeviser (drinking songs), adding joy and camaraderie to the feast. The tradition dates back to Viking times when toasts were raised to honor gods, ancestors, and the newlyweds. 

Today, they remain a key part of the celebration, and it's a tradition we wish to embrace for our coming together of families and friends flying in from all over the world.

Wedding Party

To ensure the speeches flow seamlessly, our toastmaster—and brother-in-law—Kåre Rømer Claësson (our neutral Danish representative) will be coordinating the agenda for the evening. 
Speeches will be held at the reception and over the course of dinner.
