Hotels to Reception

September 12, 2021 3:15 pm - 3:30 pm

A shuttle will be available to transport guests from the Residence Inn Downtown, Home2Suites Downtown and out-of-town Homewood Suites/Hampton Inn to the reception location. Downtown shuttles will begin loading at 3:15pm and depart promptly at 3:30pm. The out-of-town shuttle will load at Hampton Inn 3:15-3:20pm and then load at Homewood Suites at 3:25pm, departing promptly at 3:30pm. We highly recommend taking the shuttle as our reception location is somewhat remote and with limited cell reception.

Transportation from our reception

Our reception is in beautiful, rural Virginia and has limited cell service. The winding, country roads that lead you to and from Charlottesville are a challenge to navigate at night. For these reasons, we highly recommend riding our shuttles. However, if you plan to drive, please be sure to bring detailed maps and directions. Uber will be scarce if not completely unavailable at our reception location.

Shuttles will depart our reception at 10:00pm and drop off guests at each of our hotel locations by 11:30pm.

Home Football Game

Yep, there's a UVA football game during our wedding weekend. While this might make going out downtown extra fun after our wedding, here's a few other things to keep in mind: 1. Traffic: Congestion should be somewhat limited to the campus area, but plan for delays just in case 2. Hotels & Lodging: Hotels and Airbnb's will likely sell out. Please book early and consider using our block for hotel deals.
