If you'd like to float the river with us to the reception, the best plan is to park at the Elk's Lodge and use our "shuttle" service to get to the ceremony (see more information about this one the "schedule" tab). If you'd like to drive yourself to both the ceremony and the reception, please do not park on Front Street, as there is very limited space. You can park at Midnight Sun Martial Arts Academy (530 2nd Street), walk across Eagle Avenue to the old Alaska Club parking lot, and take the trail that crosses the river underneath the bridge. This trail will come out right into Graehl Park. You will see signs along the way! More parking options will be announced soon.
Since we will be going back to Nashville for another semester after the wedding, we are not asking for any gifts! The best gift anyone can give us will be just coming and spending the best day of our lives with us! However, if you insist on a gift, thank you!! Please consider our cash fund under the "registry" tab on the website. We will be postponing our honeymoon and instead going back to Nashville where we could use the help with rent, tuition, food, and the move back to Fairbanks in December with the hopeful purchase of a house!
We would appreciate if you made plans to drive safely and 100% sober, or plan out a ride home beforehand. However, if you do end up needing a ride last minute, we will provide taxi vouchers. We want everybody to be safe!
Absolutely not! We are very fortunate to have the Elk's Lodge host our reception, but if you are caught bringing in your own alcohol or drinking underage, you will be kicked out!
It's Fairbanks, and we want everyone to be 100% comfortable! You may wear whatever you'd like! We suggest bringing a light jacket to the outside ceremony, just in case it ends up being a little bit chilly.
We would appreciate only rafts or floating devices without motors, as we may have a very large group! We will have John and Jack Witt as our designated jet-ski scoffers along the way!
