Take a hike! The Parker Lake Trail starts on the north side of the June Lake Loop and offers a moderate 3.2 mile hike. To get to the Parker Lake Trail Head, you’ll want to head North from the Double Eagle past Grant Lake. Shortly after passing Grant Lake, you will see a sign for Parker Lake Road. Parker lake road is a dirt road that stretches for a couple miles. You can follow it all the way up to the trail head. This is an out-and-back trail that starts across the road from the June Lake Fire Station and the big perched boulder and ends at the Double Eagle Resort. Research your route before you go! This trail has multiple routes and can be deceptively challenging due to rough trails and steep altitude climbs. This is the gas station you will hit in and out of Yosemite (120). There is a store with cute souvenirs and tasty, hot food. Gas prices will be at a premium.
This is the last station you will pass before you get to the June Lake Loop if you are traveling south on the 395. Gas prices are a premium, but they are less that the Chevron station in Lee Vining.
