Why Sun Valley, Idaho?

Answer

From the time Alex was 8 years old she has vacationed every summer in Sun Valley, Idaho with her family. In 2009 her family bought a condo in Elkhorn Village. Only 4 months into dating, Jesse came to Sun Valley to spend the summer of 2021 with Alex. It was the first place we spent an extended period of time together and the first place we said "I love you". We have been living in Sun Valley for the past year and it holds a very special place in our hearts. We cannot wait to share the magic of Sun Valley with all of our closest people!

How Many Days Should I Come For?

Answer

Up to you! But, we recommend coming Thursday-Monday as we will have events those 4 days.

Where Should I Stay?

Answer

Most events will take place at Sun Valley Resort and there is a lodge and inn on the grounds. There is limited availability at the resort, so we have given some other hotel options on our travel page. Sun Valley Resort is in the middle of both Ketchum and Elkhorn Village. They are both 1 mile away from Sun Valley Resort, so any hotel or Airbnb within Ketchum or Elkhorn Village is our recommendation. ***There is also a free bus that runs between Sun Valley Resort, Ketchum, and Elkhorn Village***

What If I Want To Stay In Hailey or Bellevue?

Answer

Totally okay! But, please just keep in mind that Ubers/taxis are almost non-existent in Sun Valley, so we recommend having a rental car if you decide to stay in one of these towns. Hailey is 10 miles from Sun Valley Resort and Bellevue 15 miles from Sun Valley Resort. PLEASE NOTE: we will NOT have a shuttle for any of our events running to/from either of these towns.

ARE THERE CARPOOL OPTIONS AVAILABLE FROM BOISE OR SALT LAKE CITY?

We highly recommend this if you plan on flying in and out of Boise or Salt Lake City. WILL THERE BE TRANSPORTATION TO EVENTS?

Yes! There will be transportation from Ketchum/Sun Valley Resort to the Rehearsal Dinner, Ceremony, Afterparty, and Redfish Lake. There will, however, NOT be transportation to/from welcome drinks.

WHAT IS THE CEREMONY AND RECEPTION DRESS CODE?

Are there any colors I should refrain from wearing to the ceremony/reception?

We kindly request you DO NOT wear any colors traditionally reserved for the bride: champagne, beige, ivory, or anything close to white.

Where is the afterparty?

Answer

The afterparty will be taking place at the Symphony Cottage on Sun Valley Resort grounds. There will be a shuttle from the reception to the afterparty. Only bridesmaids and groomsmen are invited to spend the night at the rooms within the cottage.

CAN I TAKE PICTURES AT YOUR WEDDING USING MY PHONE OR CAMERA?

Answer

We kindly ask you not to take any photos on your phone or personal camera during the ceremony. We would like to see your faces and not your phones. We have hired terrific photographers and videographers to capture our day, so you can sit back and just relax.
