It was the height of Covid when Alex sat on her couch, Panda beside her, mindlessly swiping through Hinge while half watching Sex and the City. She came across an attractive guy's profile who looked like a NJB (nice Jewish boy) that liked sports and appeared to have a bunch of friends. He caught her eye, so she decided to swipe right. Meanwhile, Jesse was having a nice, quiet evening at home watching football (of course) with his roommate when he decided to swipe for fun on Hinge. He came across a profile that made him stop in his tracks because he had never seen such a cute, fun... sheepadoodle before. He knew he had to swipe right to meet this girl to get to her dog (half kidding). They mutually matched and once they started messaging they couldn't stop. They found themselves texting all day every day and after they had their covid shots (a month into talking) they decided to meet for a first date. Jesse picked the spot, Carroll Place, on a Friday night in February. Afterwards Alex introduced Jesse to Panda and Panda sniffed Jesse and immediately peed on the floor from excitement. He somehow knew he had just met his dad. From that moment on the 3 were inseparable and began traveling all over the USA and world together: Bahamas, Costa Rica, Portugal, Lake Tahoe, USVI, Napa, Miami, Charleston, DC, Texas, and Mexico City are just to name a few. 4 months into dating Alex asked Jesse if he wanted to spend the summer with her in Sun Valley, Idaho at her family's condo. It was there that their love really blossomed and they realized they wanted to be together forever. Jesse proposed on August 13, 2022 just 1.5 years into dating. He had her sister plan a day to the cloisters in New York City and got down on one knee in front of the stone arches there. One of Alex's friends almost ruined the surprise that day, so Jesse overcompensated by swearing up and down it was not happening, which put Alex in a terrible mood on the way to the cloisters. She sulked the whole way there being bummed out the proposal would not be happening that day. The moment Jesse took out the ring Alex started bawling crying and it was the best moment of both of their lives. Afterwards Jesse planned a surprise party and had all of Alex's family and best friends fly in from all over the country. They partied all night with some of the most special people in their lives and it was perfect. A week later they moved to Sun Valley, Idaho and lived there for a year skiing, hiking, and playing pickleball (of course). When Alex’s job told her that she needed to be back in NYC or move to Nashville or LA - Jesse could not have been more supportive. Although they had never been, they decided on Nashville and drove 30 hours across the country in a U-Haul with Panda. They have been living in Nashville ever since making new friends, exploring, and of course… playing pickleball.
