Things To Do
Laguna Beach
This lovely beach is the one that's closest to our home. Leashed dogs are allowed on the sand. We recommend nearby Dolce Gelato for ice cream with creative flavors, and Urth Caffe for brunch, lunch, coffee, and delicious baked goods. We often grab take-out and enjoy a picnic on the sand!
Disneyland Park
We'd recommend a whole day or more for Disneyland! Let us know if you're planning on going, and we are happy to provide all kinds of tips, tricks, and recommendations :) Update: a group is planning on going on Monday, April 3rd! Let Julia know if you’d like to join us.
Irvine Spectrum Center
If you're looking for an Orange County experience, the Irvine Spectrum Center is the place to be. This outdoor mall has lots of options for shopping, dining, and entertainment. We're fans of Tender Greens for casual and yummy food, Frost Gelato or SomiSomi for dessert, and the Irvine Improv comedy club.
Whiting Ranch Wilderness Park
This regional park has a plethora of hiking and biking trails and nice scenery. Just watch out for mountain lions at dawn and dusk! Dogs are not allowed. Parking is $3 daily.
Huntington Beach Dog Beach
A large swath of off-leash, dog-designated beach in the city of Huntington Beach. Suki gives it 5 stars!
Irvine Farmers Market
This Saturday morning farmer's market is open from 8am-12pm. We love the homemade guacamole and granola, along with the amazing selection of succulents.
Sherman Library & Gardens
Charming gardens in nearby Corona del Mar, with seasonal art exhibits and a fancy restaurant cafe. (We were seriously considering having our wedding here so we could share it with you all!)
Crystal Cove State Park
State Park known for its stunning blue waters. Sadly, no dogs allowed on the sand here (or on any other state beaches). There are walking trails throughout the bluffs, and cute cottages and a fancy restaurant down by the beach.
