We wish we could tell you! According to weatherspark.com, on April 1, the temperature in Lake Forest typically ranges from 53°F to 68°F and is rarely below 47°F or above 78°F. The average chance of precipitation is 11%. Our best guess is that it will be cool, but not cold, and clear, though it may be cloudy. We recommend bringing a warm sweater or jacket with you for the evening. We will send an update about the weather to you all as soon as we have a reliable forecast!
We love our four-legged family members! But unfortunately, they can't join us at the wedding itself. The DoubleTree Hotel is dog friendly, though! If your dog will be traveling with you and you are looking to arrange care for them during the day of the wedding, you aren't the only one! So let Julia know and she can help you coordinate care day-of.
We are aware that there is inherent risk in coming together for a big event like this. We are doing our best to mitigate risk for our guests, and we also ask you to do your best to help us keep everyone safe and healthy. Most of the wedding and other events will take place outdoors. The only time we're planning on being partially indoors is at the after party at our home following the reception. We plan to keep doors and windows open to promote ventilation. If there is a surge in the weeks leading up to the wedding or other factors that increase risk, we will reassess our plans and make any changes we deem necessary. We lovingly ask you to do everything you can to mitigate risk during your travels and during your time visiting in SoCal: masking whenever indoors, staying up-to-date on your boosters, and taking an at-home COVID test before joining the festivities. We're also requesting everyone to wear a mask on the shuttle to and from the wedding venue. If you have any concerns about these requests, or would like us to provide masks or tests for your use, please let us know.
Absolutely not! We aren't expecting or requesting any gifts. We are so grateful you are making the effort to come and celebrate with us, and your love, support, and presence are the best gifts we could ask for. That being said, we've put together our registry to offer some options for anyone who would like to give something. We’re especially excited about transforming our front yard into a drought-tolerant and pollinator-friendly space, and getting more plants and greenery for our patios! Gifts of any amount or size are greatly appreciated as we continue to build our lives together.
Great question! If you are planning on driving yourself to and from the wedding venues instead of taking the shuttle or catching another lift, please let Julia know ahead of time by text or email. There is limited parking available within walking distance of all three venues (the park, the reception space, and our home), and we will send you specific instructions in the days leading up to the event.
