Travel Note

Travel Options, Hotel Blocks, & More Recs for Out-of-Towners (including us!)

- New Hope is hoppin', and places to stay are filling up fast. If you plan on staying the night or making a weekend getaway, we HIGHLY suggest you find a place to stay (or book one of the rooms from our block) ASAP. - In terms of travel, the trains/busses have been severely reduced post-Covid, especially on the weekends. So if you aren't coming in by car, we recommend you find the train/bus you plan to take ahead of time. We have links & recs available for you below:

Hotel

Hampton Inn & Suites Newtown

1000 Stony Hill Road, Yardley, PA 19067

We have a block of rooms set up at the Hampton Inn & Suites, Newtown. Use the link below to get our special rate, or the code BFW. This hotel is about a twenty minute drive from the venue. So, if you stay here definitely make sure you have/rent a car!

Discount Code - BFW - use this code to get our block at a special rate

House Or Rental

Local B&Bs!

New Hope, PA 18938

New Hope is known for their lovely Bed & Breakfasts! There's the Aaron Burr House (where Aaron Burr fled after killing Hamilton) or Porches on the Towpath (where we'll be staying, and no murderers have fled to our knowledge). And there's plenty of others to check out too, click the link to see more :)

Flight

Newark Airport

If you're flying in, Newark (EWR) airport in Jersey will get you closest to New Hope. You could also "phly" into Philly (Philadelphia International) - though many flights here are not direct. Since our wedding starts at 12PM - we suggest grabbing a redeye the night before (night of Oct 20th) that'll get you in by 8AM to be safe timing-wise. Or even better, come in the full day before and hang out with us around town on Friday!

Rental Car

Various Rental Car Companies

135 Lindbergh Road, Newark, NJ 07114

- For those of you flying in to Newark, there are a ton of Rental Car options straight from the airport. We've rented from Hertz & Budget from here before and it's always been easy. - If you're taking a train into New Jersey, we'd recommend an Uber or Taxi service over a rental car. - If you're taking a bus into New Hope or Lambertville directly, the town is super walkable so you likely won't need a car.

Train

Trans-Bridge Bus Lines

This is a bus, not a train, but for those of you coming in from NYC - this will get you right to the venue. Make sure to get off at the LAMBERTVILLE STOP which is a short walk across the bridge to the venue. (The New Hope stop, to make things confusing, is actually further away). The only catch with the busses is that they don't operate on Saturdays. So, you'd have to come in the night before on October 20th (bus departs from NYC Port Authority at 5PM). If you do, we'd love to see you for a nightcap on Friday night!

Train

NJ Transit

For the closest way-by-train, you could take the Amtrak from NYC to either Trenton, NJ or Hamilton, NJ. We'd recommend a train that leaves NYC by 9AM at the latest because you'll need to get a taxi/Lyft/Uber from the train station to New Hope, which is about a half-hour drive away.
