    I am disheartened to write this, but I would not recommend the St. Clair Inn as a wedding venue. Although the property is beautiful, and if the weather is right, there is the possibility of having gorgeous pictures by the water, it is not worth the headache of questions, unstructured staff, and miscommunications you'll encounter. There were a slew of items that as a bride, you would hope an experienced wedding venue would handle or know to do automatically. On your big day, you do not want to be worried about the little things, nor do you think about them... like YOUR MEAL CHOICES BEING CORRECT, salt and pepper shakers being on tables, or dessert plates being put out for guests. These are some of the easy, simple, little things that St. Clair Inn did not handle. I left my wedding feeling embarrassed and nervous to ask guests how their time was. Please see my list of unanswered questions for Nancy, just one of the THREE banquet managers we spoke with throughout our year of planning with the venue. -Filet had the wrong sauce was supposed to be demi glaze with mushroom- not hollandaise sauce -The dinner food service was very slow, guests did not eat until almost 9:00pm -Servers wouldn’t give any of the guests more bread when asked. -no salt and pepper shakers on the tables -My signature drink Bar sign was not on the inside bar and was facing down on the outside bar for majority of the evening. -10 pm outside bar was closed and only 1 bar remained which guests complained was slow. -Guests indicated Gnocchi was cold and hard -Husband and I never received our side of pasta -Electrical box was never covered out at the ceremony site, this didn’t look good in the background for pictures. -Cake table was not removed when it was time for us to do our first dance, we had to quickly adjust and change timeline, then my bridesmaid's husband and DJ had to move the table themselves (embarrassing) -No champagne in bride and groom's glass for toasts -No cake plates on the sweet table... guests were using NAPKINS and charger plates (embarrassing) -Cake topper, vases, and chargers were missing and taken during clean up. We had to ask people to find them in the kitchen in the morning and eventually just went back there ourselves to find our items we purchased and brought. -Bartenders needed more help, drink service was slow, long lines (why shut down the outside bar early?) -All glow sticks are missing OR THROWN OUT -No one saved my bouquet, very disappointing

    Our experience at the St. Clair Inn was nothing short of amazing. From the very first visit we knew that the St. Clair Inn was exactly what we were looking for in our wedding venue. The venue itself is a perfect combination of historic and updated and it is right on the water. We were able to do our ceremony, cocktail hour, reception and guestrooms all in one spot without the need for any transportation. The planning process with Samantha was great, she was so helpful, responsive and made everything so easy. The staff provided us fantastic service during the tasting and the wedding day itself. The food was fantastic. We really have nothing but fabulous things to say. Thank you so much and highly recommend this venue!!

From the moment we stepped onto the property, we knew we had chosen the perfect venue for our special day. Especially being from Canada booking an American wedding venue - the nerves were HIGH! The charm and beauty of the St. Clair Inn are truly unmatched. The historic elegance combined with modern amenities created an enchanting atmosphere that left our guests in awe. The picturesque views of the St. Clair River provided a stunning backdrop for both our ceremony and reception, and the impeccably manicured grounds added a touch of magic to every moment. Every detail was thoughtfully attended to, and the level of professionalism exhibited by your staff (S/O MEGAN) was truly outstanding. From our initial consultation to the final moments of our reception, every member of your team (from the hotel staff to the servers) went above and beyond to ensure that our wedding day was nothing short of perfection. The coordination and execution of our wedding day were flawless. Your team's attention to detail, flexibility, and ability to handle any unexpected situations that arose truly put us at ease. We were able to fully immerse ourselves in the joy of the day, knowing that every aspect was being expertly taken care of. The culinary experience was an absolute delight. Our guests are still raving about the delectable dishes that were served during our reception. We even had a few chefs in attendance who RAVED about the steak! The quality and presentation of the food were beyond our expectations, and it added an extra layer of luxury to our celebration. To the hotel staff - the accommodations provided for us and our guests were comfortable and elegant. The newly renovated rooms added a touch of modern luxury to the historic ambiance of the Inn. Our out-of-town guests were thoroughly impressed with the accommodations and the overall hospitality they received. We cannot thank you enough for the outstanding service and care you provided throughout the entire wedding planning process and on our special day. The memories created at the St. Clair Inn will be cherished for a lifetime, and we are so grateful for your role in making our dream wedding a reality. Without hesitation, we wholeheartedly recommend the St. Clair Inn to anyone seeking a truly magical and unforgettable wedding experience. Thank you again for making our day absolutely perfect.
