Aquidneck is a beautiful and comfortable schooner for a Newport harbor cruise. This vessel has comfortable places to sit or lounge, including teak benches with backrests, comfortable chair-height cabin tops and a large amount of open, uncluttered deck space that enables guests to move about with ease. Sail through Newport Harbor and Narragansett Bay past all the famous sights including Fort Adams, Hammersmith Farm, Clingstone and Newport’s Ocean Drive.

This vessel has plenty of comfortable places to sit or lounge, including teak benches with backrests, comfortable chair-height cabin tops & a large amount of open, uncluttered deck space that enables guests to move about with ease. We have a large, elegant, mahogany table that holds caterer platters, as well as several Igloo coolers to hold beer, wine or champagne. There is a stereo system with an iPod interface, blankets for cool evenings & light rain ponchos in the event of a passing shower.

$2050 for 1.75 hour day charter. $2400 for 1.75 hour sunset charter. 3.5 hour private charter $4100. All charter rates include gratuity.

Sightsailer has a fully cushioned cockpit complete with back and footrests and two swiveling stern seats to take in the action. When the wind is light to moderate in strength, guests may also sit up on deck. Sightsailer has a small, narrow cockpit table for light food, an Igloo cooler for drinks, and a stereo with an iPod interface. Blankets are available for cooler weather as well as rain jackets in the event of a passing shower.

If you are privately chartering one of our boats you may bring your own drinks or arrange to have them delivered. We allow beer, wine, champagne, and canned cocktails, however no hard liquor is allowed on our boats at any time. Most guests arrange to have drinks delivered, since delivery is free with no markup in cost & it's easier since it eliminates having to lug coolers to the wharf.

May, June, September, and October

We do not have on-site parking. There are lots along America's Cup Ave and Thames St. which offer a flat rate for all day and night parking, typically $10-$20. There is a small lot here at Bowen's Wharf which holds about 20 cars. It costs $1.50/hour and gets full quickly. Lastly, there are meters all over Newport. These have a three hour limit which is strictly enforced and are about $1.25/hour.

None of our boats are wheelchair accessible. To get on and off Aquidneck and Sightsailer, a person needs to be able to walk down a steep ramp, then about 40 feet down a floating, wobbly dock, up 5 steps with a rail, step up and over a 12 inch step and into the boat. Our crew can certainly offer a hand to get up and down the stairs.

You may bring your own food or use a caterer of your choosing. Our crew will put aboard, clean-up & remove any food or drink you bring or have catered. Food can be upscale and elegant or more casual fare. Suggested servings are sandwiches, wraps, skewered food etc. Think finger foods that are easy to pick up and eat with one hand without need for utensils or further preparation.

Bring appropriate gear for going out on the water. In the spring & fall we recommend a lightweight jacket and pants. In the summer, you may want a jacket or sweatshirt for sunset sails. If you're sailing during the day, bring sun block. Any soft soled shoes, sneakers or sandals are fine. No high heels. If you wear high heels you may need to go barefoot. If it looks like rain, bring a rain jacket!

Our sails run in light to moderately inclement weather. Don't worry, we won't send you out in heavy persistent rain, thick fog, high winds or if threatening weather appears imminent. Keep in mind that we will sail in cloudy, cool or overcast conditions, in light to medium fog and on and off sprinkles. If we cancel your sail due to adverse weather conditions, you will receive a 100% refund.

Charters may be cancelled and a 100% refund issued, if you cancel at least 10 days before your sail. If you cancel less than 10 days before departure you will be refunded 75%. No refunds for sails cancelled less than 24 hours before departure. If we cancel your sail due to adverse weather conditions, you will receive a 100% refund.

All of our boats have marine toilets known as 'heads' on board.
