About this venue
The Phelps, or “Turtle”, Fountain is the centerpiece of the Lyndale Park Annual-Perennial Garden. It was moved here from its former downtown site in Minneapolis’ Gateway Park. The combination of fountain and flowers, contained by an undulating hedge, makes this a popular spot for garden enthusiasts, wedding ceremonies and photographs. Adjacent to Lake Harriet. Pay lot across the street from the fountain. Free parking in surrounding neighborhood. Patio space around the fountain for seating. Parking fees are not included in the cost of a wedding permit. Permits are issued for ceremonies only. Food and receptions are not allowed at ceremony sites.
