About this venue

King is relaxed, simple and elegant. From the dining room’s muted tones and white tablecloths to the ever-changing offerings steeped in traditional flavor pairings and techniques — it is both a neighborhood restaurant as well as a celebratory destination. Our menu changes daily, featuring seasonal, simple food with influences from Southern France and Italy. At King, wrote Pete Wells in his 2018 review, “what you really notice is how many little moves they know that can raise a recipe from good to exceptional.” All catering, including food and beverage services, is handled in-house. King is an ideal venue for couples looking for an intimate celebration with a classic Soho feel and West Village charm. Our seated capacity is 36 guests. Additionally, we can accommodate up to 65 guests for a standing reception-style wedding.

King is a no-brainer if you're looking for an intimate spot for a wedding lunch or dinner buyout with top-notch food, beverage (the wine list is one of the city's best) and service that can be dressed up or down. Nathalie and the whole team executed a beautiful lunch for 20 on our wedding day. From the food, which was truly one of the best meals I've had at King (no small feat when executing for a group), to the elegant setup of the room, attentive service and the giant, show-stopping pavlova (an absolute must) to end the afternoon, it was exactly what we'd hoped it would be. Huge thanks again to the whole team for making our day what it was!

From the moment we booked our wedding at King Restaurant, their team demonstrated a thoughtful, considerate, and meticulous approach that put us at ease throughout the entire planning process. The venue itself was intimate, elegant, and celebratory, creating a truly festive and charming atmosphere for our special day. They went above and beyond to customize every aspect, including crafting signature cocktails that reflected our favorite drinks with personal meaning, and serving an amazing spread of seafood towers, antipasti, and even espresso martini shots at the end of the night. We recently we had the absolute pleasure of celebrating our wedding at King, our favorite neighborhood spot, and we couldn’t have imagined a more perfect day. To have our wedding here was like having the ultimate family/friend celebration, wrapped in love and familiarity. King is a blend of intimate charm, and NYC energy, and feels like a warm gathering at a friend's home. The attention to detail and care from the staff was beyond anything we could have hoped for. The food, as always, was spectacular. Guests are still raving about the incredible flavors—and as the bride asked for seconds. From the pre-luncheon starters, and the DREAMY pasta to the main courses, every bite was a reminder of why we adore this restaurant. Sharing our favorite dishes with our family and friends was like sharing a piece of our life story. What truly made the day unforgettable, though, was the team at King. They weren’t just serving food; they were a part of our celebration. Their warmth, professionalism, and genuine care for us and our guests made us feel like we were surrounded by family.
