About this venue

Come celebrate in nature on a developing organic farm on the one-of-a-kind Smith Forbes Historic Site. There are several large fields and a barn that is available for your event. Also on the site is a working farm with a small number of friendly goats, chickens, and pigs. Access to acres of private forest land with route to Rappahannock River. We are a DIY venue with limited capacity, so it's best for small and intimate ceremonies. We are open to all faiths. LGBTQ+/420 friendly. Visit us on the web or find us on IG for more information!

Forest Farms is a sustainable living village on a 51 acre historic property in Stafford County.

Rent a section of the barn for your live event, workshop, or seminar for up to 50 people. *Additional accommodations may be required.

Forest Campsite

Cool, Shady Forest Camp with Rugged River Hike

Get away from it all when you stay under the stars! Just a short drive from DC or RVA. Great getaway for the day or the weekend! Well water and porta pottys are available by the barn. We have firewood for purchase as well. Have fun and remember you’re in the wilderness at a “new” farm! Cheers!! This is a rustic camp site on a newly working farm. The site has a fire pit. There is water and a porta potty at the barn. The property is mostly wooded and backs up to Horsepen Run, which feeds into the Rappahannock River.

Hill Top Campsite

Field Views & Rugged River Hike

Get away from it all when you stay under the stars. Scenic campsite overlooks to gorgeous fields and has access to acres of forest, including a creek feeding into the Rappahannock. Campfire pit is available. Pack in and pack out all your food and trash. You may pull up to the campsite in your vehicle, but beware if it is wet – you may get stuck. Firewood is available for sale..
