About this venue

Balcony Downs is a family-run venue offering an inclusive weekend package from Friday to Sunday. Your booking includes two nights of gracious lodging for 24, early access for decorating, as well as use of the space for your rehesrsal dinner. This 235 acre historical estate offers panoramic views, multiple options for ceremony site and unique backdrops for amazing wedding photos. We limit our bookings to one wedding per week so that our staff can provide you with the exclusive attention you deserve. We help simplify the planning process so you can focus on the more important details of creating amazing memories. Balcony Downs Venue And Retreat

We strive to produce the venue outcome you envision taking every step of the way alongside with you.

The Event Barn is 3,700 sq ft with a fully stocked commercial prep kitchen, two handicap-accessible bathrooms, and a spacious reception area adorned with rustic crystal chandeliers and ambiance lighting. The barn opens up to large patios overlooking majestic mountains and rolling hills. The kitchen is stocked with serving dishes, chafing dishes, drink dispensers, commercial warming oven, a commercial refrigerator, a freezer, and much more. We also supply beautiful rustic wooden chairs, round dining tables, buffet tables, two oversized custom farm tables, and a stunning ceremony arch that can be placed anywhere on the estate. You also have access to our professional sound system and we maintain a large selection of neutral in-house décor that you can use as much or as little of as you like. There are three historic houses on the estate that are included in your wedding package. The Manor House sleeps up to 12 and is ideal for bridal party dressing and staging. The Icehouse Cabin sleeps 6 and the Farmhouse 4.

When you book with Balcony Downs, you get the entire 50-acre estate from Friday at 3 pm until Sunday at 11 am. Your reservation includes accommodations for the rehearsal dinner as well as early access to the Event Barn for decorating and set up. Summary of What is Included In Your Package: • Use of the property from Friday at 3 pm until Sunday at 11 am • 3,700 sq ft Event Barn • Use of commercial kitchen • 16 60" round tables • 12 72" round tables • 6 6ft rectangle folding tables • 200 rustic wooden folding chairs • 24 wooden x-back chairs • 2 10ft rustic wooden farm tables • PA sound system • 3 guest houses that can sleep up to 22 people in total • Handicap-accessible restrooms located on-site within the Event Barn • Our rustic wooden archway can be moved anywhere on the property for the ceremony

    Balcony Downs Venue And Retreat was the perfect choice for our wedding. The owners were incredibly responsive and helpful throughout the booking process and on the day of the wedding. They made sure the venue was set up and ready for our special day. The venue itself provided lots of great spaces for taking photos, which was especially helpful in case of rain. We were thrilled with the value and quality of Balcony Downs, and would highly recommend it to any couple looking for a wonderful wedding venue.

    We had an amazing experience having our wedding at this venue! From the compassionate and prompt help of the hosts, as well as the communication we had over the past year planning the day to be perfect, 10/10 would recommend. Celeste and Morgan helped us feel calm and at home! The venue is well manicured and hosted our 70-100 guests perfectly for day of, and had all our needs for the few days we stayed before the wedding in preparation. Affordable, beautiful, and well suited for your perfect wedding is how my husband and I describe Balcony Downs!!

The venue’s owners’ communication throughout the planning process was clear, precise, and open, which made coordinating all the details a breeze. The venue itself is a huge space with stunning mountain views and various accommodation options for the guests. As the planner/coordinator, my team and I were anble to better ensure their special day went off without a hitch. Balcony Downs' owners are very communicative and involved without being overbearing.     This venue was absolutely perfect for our daughter’s wedding. The main house has a beautiful bridal suite and there are 2 more cottages on the property for the wedding party to rent. There was plenty of space for our 200 guests and tons of beautiful scenery for photo ops. The owners were very pleasant and answered any question we had. They were so helpful and easy to work with. I would definitely recommend this venue to anyone looking to get married.
