Marcea's experience comes to you decades in the making. Having grown up with a wedding coordinator mom, Marcea started coordinating weddings and receptions at a very young age. She went on to plan events with a prominent Seattle restaurant company, and has planned dinners and parties large and small for churches, non-profit organizations, schools, and small businesses, ranging in size from a small gathering to a crowd of 1,000. Her own Christmas parties are legendary, something she also learned from her mom. She brings the same passion to every event, every time.

We are three-generation planners! Marcea works most weddings with her daugher and occasionally her mom will still help out, too. We have decades of experience between us and understand family dynamics!

We are so happy to have found Marcea for our wedding planning! She took time to understand what we wanted and worked to bring it to life, offering thoughtful suggestions and creative ideas based on the experience we hoped to create for our family and friends. She had helpful referrals for a variety of vendors – including our incredible florist and wedding day dog-sitter! – and provided thorough coordination on the day of (and day after brunch), remaining calm and unflappable no matter what came her way. We just had to show up and enjoy ourselves – and we thoroughly enjoyed all of it!

Marcea is an absolute gem. I am a Wedding photographer and have worked with MG Event Design multiple times. As a wedding videographer, I've found that a well-coordinated plan is an essential ingredient to a smooth, stress-free wedding. Marcea at MG Event Design is a spectacular planner and coordinator. She is quick to respond to any questions I have, and she has great attention to detail. If you want to work with someone with a ton of experience and expertise in the wedding industry, you should give Marcea a call!

While MG Event Design was formed in 2017, I have been involved with weddings and events since I was a kid. My mom was also a wedding planner and I started helping her at a very young age (like 10!). I went on to plan lots of dinners, parties and events for companies, churches and non-profits before deciding to turn my passion for weddings into a business.

If you are looking for a "day-of coordinator", I don't do that. I don't think it's beneficial for either one of us to just talk the last few weeks or months before your wedding, so you have access to me from the moment you sign a contract! I want to make sure all the details are covered and that you can ask questions whenever you like. Let's ease up on the stress if we can!

I have an assistant who works with me most weddings. I also have access to many more who have worked with me over the years. We've got you covered!

Of course! Our packages are always customizable. Some popular add-on's would be a venue search (if you don't yet have one), vendor pre-screening (so you don't have to!), simple centerpieces (we do those!), and design help (my favorite!). If you don't see what you are looking for, just ask!

No! We also love to help with bridal showers, rehearsal dinners, anniversary parties, Christmas parties...let us know what you want!

Yes! Over the years, we have accumulated a nice inventory of items from table numbers to table cloths. Some of our items are rentals, but most are available for no additional cost, exclusively to our clients.
