Hi! I'm Tia - Mom of 5 kids, 2 dogs and wife to the most supportive and amazing husband there is. In fact, you will often times find him carrying boxes, straightening linens, or even officiating from time to time. I started Capstone Occasions (aka-my crowning achievement) to help elevate your events to the top of your expectations. It could be a simple intimate affair to the grandest of parties, but whatever you are envisioning, it is my plan to execute it with every bit of intention and emotion that you have for it yourself.

Admiting to the number of years I have been doing this is a bit scary but it has allowed me to develop a strategy for success with events that provides my clients with the exact experience they are looking for. Starting out in the hospitality industry gave me a different perspective into collaboration for some of the most amazing events. With our proven formula and extensive list of amazing vendors, we take your wedding day and turn it into the experience of a lifetime.

    Capstone occassions made our wedding day absolute magic. I started the planning process on my own but got stuck and unmotivated because i felt overwhelmed/not entirely sure what was next. Tia jumped in and helped me get excited about the process again and accomplish the tasks in order of importance and made sure it was a day that both Mike (my now husband) and I envisioned and wanted to make it special for us. Because of her experience she has so many friends in the business. I appreciated she recommended vendors based on who the two of us are and what we were looking for and within our budget (and ways to save). She thinks about EVERYTHING! Things we never would have considered on our own. My favorite being the sunset photos of me and my husband. He doesn’t like pictures but he loved how they turned out. Not only that, she makes sure it’s a seamless process and day that’s stress free. My mom was so grateful to be able to let loose and relax and could not say enough about how instrumental Tia and her team were to make the day so beautiful and coordinating with all the vendors so we didn’t have to. Day before the wedding, I was honestly a mess and left our name tags at my office and a few other prints including labels and a mock up picture of what we were thinking. So, we had to last minute hand write the name tags and in a rush left unorganized and unlabeled bins for them to sort out. My brain was all over the place and it didn’t occur to me until too late but when we walked in, it was even better than I imagined. They really went the extra mile and made everything picture perfect. Our friends and family were so impressed and we’re still getting compliments to this day. Thank you Tia and the Capstone Occassions team! You are fun to work with, easy to get along with (even some of our craziest family members), hardworking, magician ninjas (for all the stuff you do behind the scenes we will never even know about- thank you). We are forever grateful for the best and happiest day of our lives!

    If you are second guessing if you need a coordinator for your wedding, I can promise you that out of all the decisions we made for our wedding day, that hiring Tia this was the absolute BEST decision we made!! Tia is absolutely incredible, and I would have been 100000x more stressed the week of my wedding and the day of my wedding if she was not there. Tia is so organized and has such an eye for making things beautiful. We met with Tia periodically for months leading up to my wedding, and she completely understood my vision and what I wanted for the day. She helped us put together the timeline, worked with my vendors and met with them so everyone was on the same page, and did the set up for our ceremony and reception space which was a HUGE relief. I trusted Tia completely, and I am so happy we did because everything turned out so beautiful! Tia was always there to answer my questions and give recommendations, and I am just so grateful to her for all she did for us. Do yourself a favor and stress less throughout your wedding planning process and on your wedding day and book Tia as your coordinator. You deserve it! Thank you for everything, Tia!! I will post pictures to this review once I have more so you can see the absolute beautiful work that Tia did to help make my vision come to life. The day was PERFECT!! Like the subject of this review says, I truly cannot recommend Tia enough!!!

    Tia was the bow that tied everything together to create our perfect day. From the very beginning she took the time to get to know who we were and what our vision was. She always answered our questions quickly and did not hesitate to offer suggestions when decisions became tough. When it came to the day of the wedding, I was able to sit back and enjoy my day because I knew Tia was going to take care of everything else. If I recommended anything to a future bride, it would be to have a Tia!

    Tia is INCREDIBLE! Hiring Tia was hands down the best decision we made in our wedding planning, and we can’t imagine our wedding without her. Tia planned our friends’ wedding a few years ago, and I was so impressed with her eye for design and how attentive she was to every detail – not to mention that teardown at the end of the night was lightning fast! She orchestrated everything expertly, her team is very efficient, and as members of the wedding party, we didn’t have to worry about anything – we were able to just have fun! When we began planning our own wedding, our number one goal was ease – for ourselves and our family and friends. We didn’t want our loved ones (or us!) to have the stress of arranging and decorating the venue the day of the wedding. We trusted Tia completely to manage the day with care and she knocked it out of the park!! During the planning process, Tia was very easy to work with – she is incredibly organized, a great communicator, very responsive, and multiple vendors commented on how much they enjoyed working with her too. While we were balancing demands from work and home, she kept us on track with planning in a kind way and made it easy for us to know what to focus on next. On the day of our wedding, Tia made sure that everything went off as planned – or even better! It was such a gift to walk into the wedding venue and have every careful detail be executed better than I could have envisioned. Because of her, we were able to be fully present throughout our wedding day with our family and friends, knowing that she and the Capstone Occasions team had everything handled. Our wedding was an absolute dream, and Tia was such a big part of that – we are so grateful!
