Sasha Haagensen Photography

I'm a full-time wedding photographer based in Austin, Texas. Born and raised in our nation's capital, I will always declare I am a Washingtonian. My love for photography started in high school but didn't truly blossom until my junior year at UT when I enrolled in a photojournalism class and signed up to be a staff photographer for the Daily Texan. I spent three years of my early 20s in the Texan basement and darkrooms at UT. I loved it. Weddings give my soul what journalism used to - the love of storytelling. Being able to capture the emotions, the laughter and the spirit.

I’ve been shooting weddings since my first one in 2005. Each one tells a different story and I do my best to tell it by creating photos that are timeless, emotion-filled and authentic. I want you to remember that joke that made you laugh so hard during the toast, the song that got everyone on the dance floor, and the sweet hug your grandmother gave you before the processional started. After over 15 years of documenting lives, it never ceases to be a true honor to be chosen to document someone’s big day. And I hope I get capture yours too.
