Hello! My name is Shay and I am the founder of Shay K Events. I graduated from The University of North Texas with a degree in Integrative Studies (Business, Communication, and Hospitality Management). Growing up, I always helped my mom plan and execute weddings, church events, parties, etc. I enjoyed it so much that I became a wedding and event planner. The fact that I get to do this for a living is such a privilege and an honor. When I am not in planning mode, you will usually find me spending time with my friends and family, at church, traveling the world, or doing something music related.

At Shay K Events, we are passionate about people and love to be a part of their special occasions. One of the coolest things is getting to see our clients' dreams and visions come to life, then seeing the joy on their faces. We pride ourselves on making the planning process as easy as possible for our clients.

Destination Weddings have become so popular in the last few years and we are so here for it. This is the perfect package for the couple that would like to get away with their closest friends and family to get married in a fun location.

If you get overwhelmed at the thought of wedding planning, this package is for you. With the full planning package, we will be there with you from the beginning of the planning process to a couple of weeks after the big day has taken place. We will take care of all the little details so that you don’t have to.

    My first project together with Shay K was for Coporate event that she hosted. As a vendor / florist I experienced very warm lovely gesture from her and the overall event went very smooth everytime we have worked with her .     We worked with Shay for our 7/23/22 wedding! Shay was incredible to work with from our very first meeting with her. We could immediately tell how organized she was. She stayed in contact with all of our vendors and made sure we met all of our deadlines. As a bride, the last thing you want on your wedding day is stress. I am not exaggerating when I tell you I simply showed up on the day of my wedding and everything seamlessly (at least from my point of view) fell together. She took care of everything and it was an absolutely beautiful and stress-free day for my groom and I. I can’t recommend Shay enough for your event needs, you will not be disappointed!

    Shay K Events is a life savor! Shay helped us plan our wedding from start to finish. Her attention to detail is unmatched. She became me and absorbed any stress that might have come my way. She was able to handle any situations that popped up and took on all the stress that would have fallen on me. A few days before the wedding, we had an issue with the caterer, I immediately handed over communication to Shay. Shay was able to communicate with and negotiate until the issue was resolved. I could not imagine having to deal with that myself. Oh, did I mention it was a destination wedding? Shay flew all the way down to our state and made magic happen. When it was time to hand over information to the Day of Coordinator, Shay was organized and received many complements from the coordinator. Thank you Shay K Events, you made our wedding a beautiful event.
