Hello, my name is Emily! I am a passionate full-time photographer with an affinity for coffee! Seriously, though, you will usually find me with a cup in hand! Anyway, enough about the most important food group in the world (coffee......). Let me tell you a little about myself. I am a firefighter wife, dog-mama and a photographer. I'm the sole owner and CEO of Photographs by Emily, LLC, which I started in 2009. Opening my own studio space in 2020! I feel so incredibly lucky that I get to do what I love every single day! Capturing life's most important memories with my camera is my passion in life. I like to keep things simple!

I started my photography journey long before starting my business over a decade ago. For as long as I can remember I've loved the art of photography always having a camera in hand. Yes... even those cheesy disposable cameras as a teen... remember those? In college, I decided to take some photography courses where my love turned into a passion. Photography is always evolving and I love learning all the new things with online courses & webinars.

    Emily is so great to work with! Emily did our engagement photos on Saturday (January 2019) (it was quite cold and pretty windy). She was great and helped us get all the shots we wanted. Emily was great with our dog and got a lot of shots with her as well. Many other photographers say they’re good with animals, but Emily proved it! She stayed happy and excited the whole time despite the cold. She let us be ourselves, and I love that our pictures don’t look posed and fake. They look like us! Emily photographed our wedding in July 2019. Unlike our engagement photos, it was quite warm on our wedding day. Emily was a champ once again! She came early and got getting ready shots. We did a first look, and I love how they turned out! Emily was great the whole time. She got every picture we asked her to take even though it was sweltering out.
