How far in advance should we book you for our wedding?

Accepted Answer

To ensure that your date is not already booked, I recommend booking at least 6-8 months prior to your wedding date! This will usually be the sweet spot for booking your wedding, though I am booking into 2026, if you are a planner and an overachiever! :)

Question 2

Will you edit all our pictures?

Accepted Answer

Every image you receive will be edited! I do not provide unedited images. I hand-edit each individual photo - whether it be color, saturation, brightness, light blemish retouch - every image will be hand-crafted and provided in a high-resolution download.

Question 3

Do you also offer video services?

Accepted Answer

No, I prefer focusing on photography only, so you can get the best wedding pictures possible.

Question 4

How long will it take to see our pictures?

Accepted Answer

My turnaround times vary based on the season. On average, all wedding galleries will be delivered within 12-15 weeks post wedding. Sneak peeks of your wedding will always be presented to you within 72 hours of your wedding date.

Question 5

How many pictures will we get?

Accepted Answer

The amount of each gallery will depend on the amount of hours you have in your wedding collection. On average, expect to receive between 40-50 photos per hour that I am there.

Question 6

What’s your back-up plan if you can’t photograph our wedding as planned?

Accepted Answer

I have never cancelled a wedding in the time that I have been photographing weddings. In the unlikely event that something happens to where I can no longer be there on your wedding day, I will either provide you with my assistant shooter OR options to find a suitable replacement. In the event that I am the one to cancel a service, all monies paid will be refunded less any services rendered.

What is your method for capturing a wedding?

I strive to capture every detail, every stolen kiss, every laugh, tear and smile. My goal is to photograph all of the things you might forget after your day has come to an end. Finding the beauty in the candid moment is what I love to do for every bride, every groom, every story. I won't click once or twice and call it a day, I will click until I am sure I have the absolute perfect memory for you.

Where are you based and do you travel?

I am based in the Metro Detroit area of Michigan. However, I am willing to travel any and everywhere that your journey may take you! A travel fee may apply depending on location - reach out to me and we can discuss!

Question 9

Do you sell prints? Do you have recommendations for printing?

Accepted Answer

As always, C'est La Vie Photographie is not responsible for the quality of the photos you receive through print if you choose to use an outside printer. Places like Walmart, Walgreens, CVS, etc. are not professional photography friendly and will often skew colors of professional edits. We recommend using Nations Photo Lab or Mpix if you choose not to purchase directly through us.

I'm ready to book! Now what?

Yay! I am SO happy that you have chosen me as your photographer! I cannot wait to get to know you both. To book and hold your date, I require a 40% non-refundable retainer and a signed contract! Your date cannot be held until both things are received. Contact C'est La Vie Photographie as soon as possible to get everything in motion and to lock in your big day!
