I’m a high school English teacher, so all of that time I spend wrangling teenagers and getting them to do work helps me out when I’m directing your wedding party for photos. I love being a teacher, and I love the flexibility it gives me to pursue another passion of mine: photography.

Both my students and my clients say they love how laid back I am, but I know when to turn it on and get the party going. I’m comfortable directing large groups of people and telling people what they need to do (again…teaching). I’ve had the pleasure of photographing engagements + weddings for the past decade, and I love looking at photos from my early days and seeing the growth that has happened. I’m constantly investing in my business, whether it’s through how I contact clients, deliver photos, or take classes to better my craft and business. My goal is to make sure that clients get the best experience on their wedding day.

    Jason is literally the best. I was honestly dreading getting in front of the camera for our engagement shoot, but Jason immediately put us at ease. He cared about knowing us as a couple and getting photos at all of our favorite spots: our first apartment, our favorite pub, and of course, the city skyline (we went to Northerly Island for a new perspective!). Our photos were uniquely us, which is something I’ll always cherish. When it came time for the wedding, I was so excited to see how our photos would turn out. Jason brought a second shooter, Jeremy, along for the ride on the big day. We took photos at the hotel, Olive Park, and at our venue. I was so impressed at how thorough Jason was and felt so at ease knowing we were going to have a ton of amazing options to choose from when our photos were finished. Plus, the dynamic between Jason and Jeremy was so fun and made everyone in the wedding party feel comfortable enough to be themselves. Despite the 90 degree heat, Jason and his team absolutely crushed it and took great care to make sure the wedding party was having fun and looking good. I felt so confident and supported from the initial portraits to the final party pics, and I have Jason and his team to thank for that! I was also in absolute awe when I got a ton of sneak peek photos back LITERALLY the next morning. He’s so incredibly talented and our friends and family were so impressed! Our photos are everything I could have hoped for and I can’t wait to see the rest of them when they’re done! I can’t recommend him enough!
