Ashley is the take charge, get shit done photographer who will love on you and your people like family. With nearly two decades of experience, Ashley understands the need for a schedule & yet adaptable to change as the day unfolds. Will ensure we get done what is needed, but will give the flexibility for you to still take in the day with some alone time & time to celebrate with your people.

Ashley Auger, the photographer behind Heirlooms and Lace Studios, has nearly a decade of wedding photography experience, preceded by a decade in wedding planning. She incorporates the expertise she gained through years in the event industry to create a wedding photography experience that feels as effortless as it does elegant. And she brings a dose of fun to every celebration!

  • More Than Just a Photographer

    Ashley is a top-tier wedding photographer. We did an engagement session with her prior to booking her for the wedding, and she was quick to make us feel comfortable in front of the camera. After booking the wedding with her, Ashley gave us many vendor recommendations and even helped us find our officiant since that was something that we were struggling with. At some point between the engagement session and wedding, Ashley called us and told us that a conflict with our wedding date came up and that she needed to be out of state that day. She had already come up with a few options to present to us, and we chose to keep our contract and let a different photographer fill-in for Ashley. Ashley knew this photographer, had worked with her before, and trusted her. And we trusted Ashley. Having the other photographer fill-in for Ashley worked out seamlessly and I was never worried about it because of all of the discussions we had. The week before the wedding we had a final consult call with Ashley & the other photographer where we discussed every last detail. This was great because it put us all on the same page, plus let us voice our opinion on a few topics (timeline details/what types of photos to prioritize/etc.). I left this call feeling confident that the photographer knew what needed to be done on the day of the wedding and that I wouldn't have to worry whatsoever that she would miss anything. I would book Ashley all over again EVEN if I knew that she wouldn't be the one actually taking the photos!

    Ashley was an absolute DREAM to work with and after spending the day with her as our photographer, I truly cannot imagine anyone else being there with us. From start to finish, she was so easy to work with and helped to put me at ease, which is not easy for a bride working full-time and planning a wedding. She thought of the minor details that no one else would and made sure we captured every moment. On the day of, she was absolutely amazing and her ability to multi-task, keep us on time, and capture every shot was incredible. In addition to that, you can tell that she truly loves what she does and cares about her couples. I have never felt so comfortable with someone so quickly, and having her there was like having one of my closest friends. Her passion for her job is inspiring and I cannot wait to continue to have her capture important moments for our new family!

    I've worked with Ashley a couple times now and to say I'm impressed is an understatement. She is one of very few industry professionals that operates with and believes in the same core values I do. She's present in your moment without being in the way. She knows immediately how to capture what you're looking for. Her sense of creativity is awe-inspiring and she'll make you never want to put that album down. Ashley is one of the most driven, motivated, hard-working, selfless, and committed photographers I have ever had the pleasure of working with. My job as a mobile DJ is so much easier when I get to have her on my team for a day. We work well together because she's easy to get along with and because she knows what she's doing. I love working with Ashley because she just "gets it." It's not something I can really put in to words, but you'll definitely feel it when she's there capturing every moment of your big day.
