Pat Frey Designs has been in the business and joy of events for over 40 years. We can handle planning and design (including full florals) for any gathering or celebration from an intimate dinner to a 160 table gala. Our team includes several planners and designers and we are very accomplished in making your vision come to life through floral, decor, and efficient planning and management. Life is full of all kinds of memorable events and the celebrations that come with them and I think they should all be treated with whimsy, liveliness, and a touch of magic.

We work with the couple to really create a unique wedding. We customize every detail to fit them and their message. We work to create something totally brand new and just for them. The first thing we do is sit down with the couple to really gain an understanding of what message they want to convey to their guests and then we begin on the design to match that.

    Kari and Pat Frey Designs curated, organized and designed my wedding last autumn at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County. It was “enchanted forest amongst the dinosaurs” themed and had little nods to timeless films like Harry Potter, Edward Scissorhands, Jurassic Park, etc. Imagine a client telling you they want all that along with a tight budget and having to deal with very particular museum restrictions! Well, let me tell you... this team went above and beyond to accomplish this eccentric bride’s dream wedding!! Take it from me, weddings can be super overwhelming for a bride. Like decisions of what color napkins look good on the sweetheart table to how they coordinate with the linens on the cocktail tables, to making sure all the build staff are on the same page behind the scenes, to paperwork and communicating with all the dozens of vendors. I could not imagine doing this by myself! My head would have exploded! Not only was the design and organizing aspect completely handled and managed by the team, Kari was my personal therapist through months of planning and dealing with typical wedding pressures. Kari is a powerful force who gets the job done. She will let you cry on her shoulder and she will step up for you if you need someone who can grab ‘em by the balls! I recommend Kari and Pat completely and if I had to do it all over again, I would hire them again and again. I plan to hire them when we renew our vows in 10 years and I’m sure I’ll come up with an even more elaborate theme for them to play with. Working with Kari and Pat Frey Designs was the most therapeutic experience of the entire wedding. They held my hand every step of the way, had patience for all my indecisiveness, and kept me sane on top of it all. The final product was literally ripped from my imagination and executed flawlessly.     Pat handled the floral designs and decor for our vintage island wedding on Catalina at the museum. I really felt that she understood the feeling we were going for and pulled it all together beautifully. She also handled our wedding management on the day and kept us on schedule and enjoying the festivities. If there were any problems, we never heard about them! I would highly recommend Pat and her company. She made our simple day into something magical.
