I am a self-taught home baker and proud mother of one. My journey began as a paralegal, but everything changed when I baked and decorated my first cake in 2014 for Ella's 4th birthday. My name is Karen & I’m the face behind Rosita Pink Sweets (no, my name isn’t Rosita - but that’s a story for another day). So a little about myself; I sold my first cake in the summer of 2016 to a family friend who needed an emergency cake after forgetting to order one. The thought of selling my own products quickly became a constant goal in my mind. After a few years, I earned my Culinary Arts/Baking & Pastry degree in 2020 and my Business Management degree in 2021.

I made my first fondant two tier cake for my son’s 3rd birthday. I honestly did it because I did not know of anyone at the time who would create a cake like that for me. I did not know that doing that one cake would begin a new journey for me. With the strong support of my family and friends, I have been able to turn this hobby into my own little business from my own home.
