Magnificent place for an intimate, unique wedding experience. This is not your standard wedding venue that handles multiple events at a time and confines its guests to the reception hall or at best to a small outdoor space. The is the ultimate splendor of having an entire estate and staff dedicated to your intimate experience. My experience: a quintessential gift that paired with the thoughtful favor memorialized the event. As we drove up to the gated 1920’s estate overlooking the lake and manicured landscape budded with mature trees surrounding the landmark Spanish colonial which beckoned us in, Rushmore “had us at hello.” This home spoke to us. Beyond the craftsmanship and its meandering outdoor spaces, we felt drawn to this majestic property. “I was within and without” is how I would describe it ― F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Great Gatsby.. Blending into to the historical landscape, our wedding theme was simply Gatsby. "Can't repeat the past? Why of course you can!". This magical place transported us and our guests back to the lavish roaring period of a happy by gone era. How appropriate a medicine for today when we all seek an opportunity to unite in a safe social gathering. What better way to splendor the outdoors over many acres of pure solitude for you and your special guests alone to explore. Seeing everyone enjoying themselves was gratifying. All our guests told me how much fun they had. Thanks to Russell, Karen and Beth for making our event all the more magical and flawless. They didn’t miss a beat. The outdoor after party by the lake Russell set for us and some of our guests with a bon fire was the topper of the evening. It was lovely strolling around the lake after dinner. Russell and team equipped us with a customized service and were gracious with accommodating our special needs. One of which was by default an unforgettable personal experience beyond our dreams - a portal to a happier time. Beth was a super wedding planner and Karen helped with setting the stage for my Gatsby old Hollywood décor in the reception. Another topper to this event was the most decadent catering of Pamela’s Traveling Feast. She prepared the perfect menu and with varying serving stations to satisfy every palette. The wedding cake was incredible, nothing of this world. I cannot describe how amazing the wedding cake was, but I’ve never tasted anything like it. Paired with the homemade pies were simply to die for. All the food she prepared was of the same caliber, simply divine. Russell recommended Pamela who is top on their list of caterers no doubt. We were fortunate to have Pamela and I can’t tell you how many compliments I received from our guests on her culinary talents! She is a must have! No one else can possibly compare! Reverend Jim Rooney also recommended by Rushmore was truly amazing and personable who made us feel extra special. When we were saying our vows as Christian looked at me, “it was like all women want to be looked at by a man.” Then he kissed me “and the incarnation was complete.” ― F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Great Gatsby. All these elements collided like the stars and together created an unforgettable moment in time that is now bound to this magical place. I will never forget our experience at Rushmore. If you are looking for the most incredible experience for your wedding, its Rushmore. I hopeful, dreaming grandly sought a special place to hold my wedding and I landed it at the Rushmore Estates.

After trips to other different venues, I knew East Wind was for us. The venue was rustic and beautiful. Jen McLaughlin, our sales rep, was awesome and consistent throughout the whole process. Very sweet, pleasant, communicative, prompt and was reliable regarding concerns I have. Fast forward to our wedding day, 12/8, it was perfect and everything I could ask for. Reid, the maitre d, took over and made everything seamless. Placed all my DIY decorations as they should be and more, turned my vision to reality. Very mellow guy. Patient, sweet, chill and very attentive to our needs. Our wedding party loved him! And Barbara, our bridal attendant, what a doll! Very nurturing presence. She was very lowkey and whatever I asked help for, it was magically done right away. I asked for food or drink, done. Honestly, all the staff had been awesome to us, including the bartenders, the waiters. It was perfect, none that gave us headaches at all. And the food. Our guests couldn't stop raving about it. It was delicious and never ending. I wanted to attend to any wedding at East Wind just to have a great dinner and experience everything again. Thankful for this bunch! ️️

From the moment we first visited Biagio's and The Terrace, we were both so impressed by the reception room as well as Athena, who happened to show us around the property. Athena also filled us in on all the details regarding a wedding there. She was nothing but attentive, responsive, and easy-to-work-with during the entire process. The venue itself exceeded our expectations - the huge dance floor, 2 full bars inside the main ballroom and the rooftop cocktail hour were all key in bringing the party together! The food is top notch, which was our absolute number 1 priority. Everything went so smoothly, from scheduling our first visit, to picking up the leftover cake and other items we left behind after the wedding. You can tell this is a family-run business, as each and every person we interacted with was so helpful and genuine. They clearly take a lot of pride in making couples' wedding days truly special. My husband and I just got married at Terrace on the Park on 2/17/24 in the Penthouse. The venue is absolutely stunning. We had looked at plenty of venues before selecting this one. From the start, Mildred was so helpful. Answering any questions we had and making sure all of our expectations were met and exceeded. The finalist manager, Nicole, was also amazing. Both her & Mildred were there on our wedding day to make sure everything went as planned. The chapel was set up beautifully for our ceremony, and the cocktail hour in the garden suite was amazing (from what we heard). The venue itself provides breathtaking views of the city and the surrounding landmarks, such as the world’s fair globe, citifield, Arthur Ashe stadium, and others. I’d give 6 stars if I could. From planning to execution, 5 East couldn’t have been better. The food tasting before the wedding is an underrated part of the experience. Since you don’t really eat on wedding day, it’s your chance to appreciate the quality of the dinner your guests will enjoy.

However, the liberty to transform the venue into any type of space is what I loved most - its a gorgeous blank canvas that lends itself to any theme. Erica has been so great to work with - unfortunately the wedding planning process can be filled with roadblocks and hurdles but the rose room has by far been the least complicated vendor to work with!

We had a wedding of 80 or so guests and the venue was perfect for that size. This is a historic building with old school salons and library rooms available for amazing photoshoots and the chandeliers in each room make for an amazing ambiance. Working with Marc, the venue manager, was amazing. He was so attentive and responsive from start to finish and he really care about all the couple he work with. Skylark was the best possible venue we could have booked for our wedding reception, full stop. Throughout the booking process, they were always highly responsive and professional. They invited us back for drink tastings, for catering option tastings, and even once got my now-wife and her two friends a table on a crowded Saturday night without a reservation. All in all, the venue itself is amazing. We lucked out and got the rooftop for our cocktail hour which we extended an extra 45m 'til sunset and our guests loved taking photos. The main dance area / bar of Skylark is fashionable, chic, and has a certain vibe that meshed perfectly with what my wife and I were looking for. They also have excellent side-rooms for the wedding party to take a moment to decompress in a cool leather-bound corner apartment with its own bar, bathroom, and changing area. The were a few things that really caught my attention as we were touring for the first time: the downstairs entrance is dark, moody, and intentionally a bit industrial which really helps set a New York vibe. Upstairs, I noticed our tour guide thought the music was a touch too loud in one of the side-rooms, so he immediately tweaked the volume down a notch on their iPad music controls. The drinks were excellent (we opted for the Cherry Blossom Old Fashioned and the French 75 for our wedding cocktails). We also came back to sample the food options (we went for a cocktail-style dinner with phased courses throughout the night), & they were all incredibly delicious thanks to Skylark's partnership with Abigail Kirsch. Lastly, our coordinator was Phil Montana and he is one of the best parts of our experience. He has exceptional attention to detail, coordination skills, and a warm & empathetic personality. I would also like to recognize the staff who were all wonderful in taking care of us & our guests throughout the night. If you are on the fence, I would highly suggest a tour. When we booked, Skylark did not have a ton of reviews either on Zola or on The Knot, so this review is my way of encouraging any readers to give it a shot -- if you are looking for a fashionable, chic New York wedding experience, The Skylark really cannot be beat. I'm looking forward to returning periodically as regular customers as well!

Dreams really do come true at the Tides! The best thing you can do is book your wedding there. From the day we booked and leading up to our big day Michael was very forthcoming and helpful. He was very responsive, followed up on all my questions and made sure we felt supported. The venue itself looks out of a fairytale. They are in a rural location so the greenery as you drive up is beautiful. The inside looks akin to a palace with many rooms and a beautiful lobby.  You don't even have to decorate too much because the place itself is so elegant and classy. The garden is soooo breathtaking. They have 2 ceremony spaces outside, beautiful flowers and greenery. Plus it's so big! You get a lot of bang for your buck. I didn't hire a day of coordinator and I basically planned everything myself with the bridal party, but the Maitre D and venue staff were very instrumental in making sure our event ran smoothly. I was super nervous thinking about the day of. I planned everything out but couldn't leave my seat because hello, I'm the bride lol. I was getting ready all morning.  But thanks to our Maitre D Alberto, the event flower perfectly. He kept us on time. Helped get the bridal party together. He literally went above and beyond. It's so incredible just thinking back to it. I know some venues are hands off. But the staff was just so dedicated to making our every request happen if possible. Thanks to Alberto, our wedding day went by beautifully without any hitch or drama. It's unbelievable because I heard there is always some kind of issue the day of. We paid for a 6am opening so me and my bridesmaids could get ready at the venue. Michael set up a wonderful breakfast in the bridal suite it was like being home! We were so comfortable and we're ready on time for our 11am start. Truly wonderful. We had the small bridal suite so to our small party but it was super nice and a great set up for getting ready! The food and the drinks were to die for. First of all, the cocktail hour was loaded with so much food! Not only do they include a variety of delicious hor'devours. You get to choose from from different entrees and stations. The guest are still raving about it a month later! Everything was excellent. From the presentation to the quality of the meals, it was the best wedding food I've ever had. When the reception came all the guests were too stuffed for their reception entrees! My cake came from David's Custom Cakes, their partner. I got the dulce de leche filling and let me tell you it was so rich! I'm definitely coming back the next time I need a cake! Honestly I am a happy bride. I have no regrets, in fact it was even better than I imagined! Don't hesitate to book them, you will not regret it!

However, that perfect day was almost derailed by the unacceptable pressure campaign to change ceremony locations due to concerns over furniture getting wet. We wanted this review to capture our nearly 20 months of planning with the TWA Hotel. PLANNING PROS: -Variety of spaces -Responsiveness -Flexibility for storing supplies CONS: -No FAQ document -Frustrating room block system -Forgotten menu tasting notification -Lack of communication and contradictory info from the Paris Cafe for rehearsal dinner THE WEDDING PROS: -Organized and accommodating staff -The food, especially the pastrami station and red velvet cake for dessert CONS: -Wrong display with typo on Solaris board in the Sunken Lounge -Our tiered wedding cake wasn’t cut and served even tho there clearly wasn’t enough sheet cake to pass around -The weather “policy”: We were told that we could make a final decision on an outdoor ceremony up until the morning of our wedding, and our point of contact reassured us of this during our final walkthru 2 weeks out. Our contract also secured the Sunken Lounge as the backup option if we chose to move indoors. However, in the final days and hours before our wedding, we were pressured to move our ceremony indoors, despite nearly all weather reports showing clear skies for our 5-6pm ceremony and rain only after 9pm. Our point of contact started questioning our outdoor plans 4-5 days before the wedding, and even met with us multiple times - first in the lobby while we were dropping off supplies 2 days before our wedding, again when we were checking in the next day, and yet again when we were at the pool before our rehearsal dinner, where we had to brush off our guests in order to have a serious meeting. Each time, they told us we needed to make a "final call" now, not the morning-of as we had been told before. After listing their reasons to move the ceremony indoors (which included threatening to release the Sunken Lounge from our backup option, despite what our contract said), the point of contact mentioned that the head manager was concerned about the rain damaging the leather chairs, and then proposed a “solution” of having the ceremony outside, but not setting up any chairs so that our guests would stand for the entire ceremony. It was clear to us that the real reason why we were being pressured was that the manager didn’t want their leather chairs to get wet! We asserted that, unless we were explicitly told we couldn't have our ceremony outside, we would stick with the outdoor option. The morning of our wedding, our day-of coordinator informed us that the venue was insisting they now had a “50% chance of rain policy”, giving them the “right” to change ceremony locations. We immediately forwarded reports from 10 weather sites that all had a chance of rain between 5-7pm at 0-30%. We finally saw chairs being set up outside in the mid-afternoon, and when our ceremony got underway, the clouds parted ways and the sun started shining. CONCLUSION: The TWA Hotel is such a special place to celebrate your wedding! Before you sign the contract, however, understand that you’ll have to stay on top of the planning process, and in cases like ours, fight for what you envision. Make sure the contract spells out any and all promises — there were items that we made sure they honored as it was clear the hotel’s policies had changed since the signing.

Last month we hosted our 125 person wedding at the Wythe Hotel in our local Brooklyn. We could not have asked for a more beautiful city venue or a more helpful team. Our sales director JD and our event coordinator Cassie are such pros-- both veterans of the NYC wedding industry-- and they helped make the day a real breeze. At the Wythe you really get what you pay for. We had a Saturday "off-season" wedding so the F&B minimums were high but easily met with our guest count. Our 395 a head included a premium open bar, multiple signature cocktails, passed hors d'oeuvres, a market station, a plated family style meal, coffee service, a wedding cake, all hospitality staff, coat check, A/V team, and hotel discounts. If we hadn't wanted to add extra florals and decor, the space truly would've been gorgeous bare. The Wythe team helped us manage the rest of our vendors and recommended some if we needed. We stayed onsite in one of their giant suites, which was perfect for getting ready and for first look photos. Cannot recommend this vendor enough!!
