Hello! My name is Jordan Fry and I'm the Ballerina Baker! I’m a professional dancer with Ballet West, and I love to bake as much as I love to dance! I create one-of-a-kind, edible works of art that celebrate people and life! I live in Salt Lake City, Utah, where I use fresh, organic, and seasonal ingredients in all of my baked goods.

Growing up I saw my grandmother spark magic with brides and grooms, I saw her make holidays magical with her desserts. She sat there--not partaking of her creations, but rather in the atmosphere she engineered. Brides smiled when they saw her cakes, family stayed when she made her desserts, life-long friends were made. I witnessed that. From a young age, I knew I wanted to give others the celebration and feeling my grandmother gave to us. Brides get married. People have birthdays. Anniversaries happen. Friends are made. Maile Cake Design is a marriage of my passion for the fine arts, baking and botanicals, with a touch of inspiration and flavors from the Hawaiian islands and my homeland, the Philippines. My cake designs are a close collaboration between my clients, thus making a fully customized made-to-order dessert that matches closely with their personalities and style. Very rarely do I repeat a design! My signature styles include palette knife work, free-flowing buttercream flowers, hand-painted, sugar and wafer paper flowers.
