I have been an artist for most of my life and love to put ideas into action with a custom cake design just for you. I'm completely self taught and rely heavily on my creative side as well as expertise I've had over the years. What's in a name? I wanted to opt for something that describes WHAT I make rather than who is making it. I strive for classic, but sophisticated. And details details details! My thoughts turned toward a pearl, it embodies all of those things and best of all, it’s timeless. Pearls when looked at closely have a slight shimmer. A detail at a distance is beautiful and “pearly” as we call it, but up close it’s really a gentle sheen of sparkle that causes that. Also known as luster. But don't forget the modern element I love to design with. That influenced the final spelling and look of the name LUSTR.

Laura Curtis, a Culinary Institute of America grad, was working as a R&D chef when she made her first batch of bright pink, tart & fruity Raspberry Hibiscus marshmallows. Her husband suggested she name the new amply fluffy creations Malvi, short for malvavisco, the Spanish word for marshmallow. She created Malvi Mallows using European-Style butter and Fair-Trade chocolate to make Malvi cookies extra rich, and dried hibiscus flowers, locally roasted espresso, whole vanilla bean, and organic Georgia peanuts to maximize marshmallow flavors, then built a business so that everyone can party s'more.
