“Justin was lovely to work with from the start. He was booked for another wedding, but he paired us up with Rob, an associate DJ of his. Both Rob and Justin were so so fun to work with. Rob took the time to text or set up whatever zoom calls we felt we needed. For the actual day, Rob was amazing. We had dinner service, reception, and "after party". Robs killed it with his flow between songs, and was incredibly accommodating and flexible if we had any requests in the moment, and was able to dodge or handle any "questionable" song requests that came his way. We knew that he always put my husband and I's wishes first. We also had multiple people comment on how good the DJ was during the reception, and after the fact! He also went above and beyond to pull heroics the day of to get some of our DIY spot lighting set up that wasn't set up the night prior. Rob was incredible to work with, and just as fun to chat with. Will miss working with them, but absolutely will be following their journeys and would use them again in a heartbeat! So thankful for Justin and Rob!”

“We had an amazing experience with The Hook Club for our wedding. Dan and his team were so easy to work with, and their 5-piece DJ band was the perfect, fun switch-up from a traditional band for our June wedding at Greenpoint Loft. We also had a ceremony guitarist and a saxophonist with tracks for the cocktail hour, which added great touches to the day. The uplights they brought for the room were priced very well and created a beautiful atmosphere. The music planning worksheet they provided was incredibly helpful, and they offered valuable advice on the timeline and flow of the reception, which was a huge help. They were fun to work with, and on the night of the wedding, they absolutely crushed it. The music was fantastic, they kept the vibes high, and their crowd engagement was excellent. “Erica reached out to me and I'm so glad she did! My least favorite part of most weddings is the cocktail hour and I didn't want that to be true of our wedding! Erica made sure it wasn't! “Tyson and Sam at Skinny Boy Media were one of my favorite vendors at my wedding. It is so so hard to choose a DJ because you've been to other weddings and had trauma from terrible DJ's that play the same old songs that are awful. Or they don't announce things at the right time or just don't communicate. This was my fear. I was recommended Skinny Boy Media from my photographer in Cincy. Then I noticed he was in Cleveland and I am located in South Central Ohio (where there are no good DJ's). I was so nervous that I was going to have a massive upcharge due to travelling 4.5 hours. I reached out and got a quote from him and discussed the type of wedding I wanted with the music and flow of things. He communicated amazing right from the start and was transparent in pricing and had no problem whatsoever travelling to Southern Ohio/Northern KY. Whew! Then I dragged my feet because this is a large decision. The website of DJ's are hard to tell what they are like. It's not like you can go to a wedding they are at and see if you like it, haha! But then as I looked on a Facebook group of Ohio Bride's to Be I noticed his name kept getting referenced. Which was a good hint. Then I talked to him further about uplighting and Photobooth services for the night. I kept delaying again... Then he reached out to me again telling me someone else wanted my date (July 8) if I didn't want it. That sealed the deal and I paid the deposit online. My husband and I completed a detailed form he provided on Google Docs to say what songs we wanted during what time. And what songs we did not want! We had a video chat with him describing ourselves, the vibe we wanted for our wedding, etc. We are 28yrs and wanted a middle school dance party vibe. I also didn't want songs switched every other minute, but transitioned nicely with reading the crowd. I also asked for some Disney songs during dinner. Man did he deliver!!! It was a party!! And he politely communicated with me during the night, asking if I was ready to begin the dances, the speeches, let dinner tables go to the buffet, etc. We also added a game from 4H camp called Bring-Me and he had it organized on his iPad, let my sister run the game on the mic, etc. The photo booth also sent photos to each person and I got a google drive link to all of them. I chose the Ivy wall with props. I did not choose to have a glow light in the photo background, but that is an option. The 30 uplights literally pulled everything together in the long room! (70ft x 30ft). He was on time, stayed till the end as expected. He also helped create a super special memory for my husband and I that I didn't even plan for! At the end (11:30pm) he had everyone go outside or towards the end of the building and he played "At Last" with just my husband and I. It was so perfect to end the night. If you made it this far...I hope I've convinced you to HIRE SKINNY BOY MEDIA!!! He will communicate like you want, provide a clear contract, provide uplights & a photo booth, travel to your venue without complications, keep things running smooth and does a great job!!”

“Primo was our DJ at Rosebud Wedding Estates and he was outstanding for every minute from booking, to the planning process, and the day off. His assistants he brought along were extremely professional and helped out to make sure the transition from ceremony to reception went smoothly. And it sure did!! Primo’s dance floor lighting package and uplighting we added on transformed the venue and made it look astonishing. The moving head lights were an awesome touch for introductions and first dance etc. Guests did not stop coming up to us the whole night, talking about what a great DJ we chose and how awesome the music was. Primo essentially planned our whole wedding in terms of how the order of events went and provided all the additional vendors with a schedule of events. All of our calves hurt like crazy after dancing the night away!! Primo had our guests on the dance floor all night and he had to literally ask people to leave so we could do our last dance alone and then the sparkler exit. I cannot recommend Primo enough and will be sure to use him for any future events that we have. Primo is a true professional for his age and you would never guess he is still in college!!! Amazzing!!!”

“I met Jamie while he was DJing at a venue in Manhattan many moons ago. I was immediately pleased with the music he chose and went up to the booth and we got to talking about music and art. He was so easy going and truly in tune with the beat of the venue. We kept in touch and I then went to several more of his venues where he was DJing with friends and also with my (now) husband. When we decided to get married and keep it really small our one must-have was excellent music because we love dancing but are not fans of standard wedding DJ music. I immediately contacted Jamie and on short notice he was able to schedule a meeting with us to discuss our needs. Jamie came prepared with a list of questions and helped us work through the different moods we wanted to set and organized the music choices. We gave him some ideas and he did the legwork of deciding what specific songs would lead into each of the unique parts of a wedding and reception (dancing, eating, more dancing, only the young people dancing, etc.).
