My name is Adam, owner & operator of CNY Sound. I am proud to serve those in Central New York with all of their DJ, MC and event planning needs. A wedding DJ by trade, I also bring my services to any event from parties, corporate events and more.

As soon as I sit down with couples and other event planners, they take note of my care, attention to detail and willingness to serve my clients. I always say that a DJ Service is 70% customer service, 20% knowing your audience and 10% knowing your music. At CNY Sound, I strive to give 100% to each of these areas and by making your wedding everything you imagine it to be.

    My wife and I recently had our wedding at Bean Acres in Oriskany Falls. The owners of the venue recommended Adam from CNY Sound for a DJ and we couldn’t have been happier with our choice! Adam was incredibly helpful right from the start. We had a series of phone conversations with him in the months leading up to our wedding and he went over every detail of the day with us. He kept very detailed notes, accommodated our special requests, had amazing music suggestions, and just made the whole process fun and easy. He also has a great, outgoing personality and made sure everyone had a ton of fun at the wedding. All our guests complimented his work! We especially appreciated that he set up special equipment for some of our family members to play an electronic keyboard and sing at our ceremony — the sound quality was excellent (even on a windy outdoor day) allowing everyone to enjoy the beautiful performance. I honestly couldn’t imagine a better DJ for a wedding or any other special event. If you’re looking for one, don’t hesitate to call Adam, you won’t regret it.     Booking with CNY Sound is the #1 best choice you can make for your wedding. Adam is overall an amazing person to work with from start to finish. Adam is down to make anything happen for your vision of the day. He can manage outdoor ceremony logistics, mic’ing up multiple officiants/speakers, cocktail hour music, dance floor selections, and overall vibe control during the whole party. He’s a dynamic host/emcee, as well as crazy talented and creative on the decks for your party. He worked with us to create a playlist (and arguably more important, a do not playlist) that was perfect for us, and our guests were raving about the party for days to come after the wedding. I’m sure there were also a dozen things he did behind the scenes that we have no idea about to make sure everything ran smoothly. Adam was so open and flexible in terms of what we wanted our wedding to be. He has room in the program for all the classic wedding moments you want (and will happily cut any you don’t) and can work in any special local, cultural, or family traditions you can think of. He’ll even tactfully mix in Defying Gravity from Wicked if that’s your thing. Adam was an amazing advocate for our vision of the day and was a huge part of making it happen. THANK YOU ADAM!!!

    My husband and I are so glad that we chose Adam to DJ our wedding in July 2024! We connected with Adam in the summer of 2023 and it was immediately clear that he was very passionate and professional about his work. It was also clear that his main goal was to ensure that we felt comfortable and happy; he did all he could to personalize not only our communication, but our “special” songs, and our vision.This being my first time really thinking through a wedding, Adam asked the right questions (that my husband and I certainly did not think of) to get us considering the flow of not only the dancing portion of our wedding, but the ceremony and other elements of the reception. His experience really allowed him to see the big picture and prompt us gently but strategically to make important decisions that dictated the flow of our special day. We had several touch points with Adam leading up to the wedding and I was so impressed with and comforted by how thorough and detail-oriented he was with our evolving plan. We always scheduled our next check in at the end of our calls, and had very clear and open lines of communication. Leading up to our wedding, we felt that Adam was really preparing for our special requests. For example, we wanted to be introduced to the 1990’s Chicago Bulls introduction theme song (LOL) and Adam studied up on the intonation of the announcer and absolutely rocked it. On the day of the wedding, Adam arrived early to set up, was completely chill but also directive around keeping the flow of the day going; he also worked so well with the event coordinator. I am SO glad that we found CNY Sound - every element of Adam’s preparation leading up to and delivery on the day of made him the best possible choice!

    We hired Adam to DJ at our wedding. His price quote was the best we received and I was impressed with his attention to detail, professionalism, and warmth right from the start. We had a small wedding (about 50 people) and the crowd was older, mostly in their 40s and up. Adam is young, but he really knows his music! He spent lots of time meeting with us to understand what kind of music we wanted and he was able to throw out suggestions that we hadn't even thought of. He provided the music for our ceremony as well as the reception and everything flowed beautifully. He was able to read the crowd well and many of us were on the dance floor from start to finish. All of our guests commented on the great job that he did. We highly recommend his services and would use him in the future if we ever needed a DJ for an event again!
