The venue manager and assistant, Brett and Lanie, are absolutely amazing to work with! They are some of the best in the business! They make sure everything is prepared before your wedding, you're taken care of throughout the whole planning process, and everything runs as smoothly as possible day of! The venue location is great as it gives a country, rustic feel but still located in a city and near the Dallas area!

We wanted a venue with an outdoor option for a ceremony that was not a barn. This venue is absolutely beautiful and was exactly what we were looking for. We had our ceremony outside by the lake, our guest used the outdoor patio space for cocktail hour then we had dinner and dancing mostly inside. It was the best of both worlds with air-conditioning while we ate yet being able to use the outside since the weather was so nice. Jacque and her team were very easy to work with and basically allowed us to do whatever we wanted with the space. Food, alcohol and decoration set up were included in the per person pricing which was amazing for us since we live out of state. Everyone raved of the food and drinks, the beautiful ceremony and the overall great atmosphere. There is also a house for rent on the property which made getting ready a breeze since the bridal party and S.Os were all able to stay there. Jacque and her team truly made the weekend so stress free for me and my husband, I couldn't imagine getting married anywhere else!

From the very first time we stepped foot inside Hermann Hill, we knew it was going to be special. Becki gave us a tour and all we could think about was how beautiful it was. When we walked outside and the groom saw the river bluff, it was a done deal and he said we had to get married there. Roxanne became our wedding coordinator and to say she was truly amazing is an understatement. She kept us in the loop, kept our heads above water when it felt like there was so much to do, and continued to keep us excited throughout the entire planning process. The day of the wedding, Roxanne was so upbeat and fun and did amazing with the set up. She truly was a treasure. We will never be able to thank the amazing work everyone did, from Roxanne, to the amazing chef, and to all the staff that we didn’t get to meet. All of you made our wedding day PERFECT. We were married at the Lussier Family Heritage Center in October and it was perfect! We were looking for something in our budget that let us bring in our own food and beverages. They were so easy to work with and the flexibility was incredible. We loved being married under the Heritage Oak tree but there were so many other options for ceremony locations that people could chose from (old barn backdrop, back patio next to the prairie, indoors, etc). My favorite part was hearing hundreds of cranes calling in the distance as they roosted for the night. If you are looking for a beautiful, natural setting and want something where you can get creative with your catering and beverage service, this is your place!

My husband and I had to push off our wedding celebration due to covid so we ended up having to plan our wedding celebration multiple times and switch dates. Allie Hobbs the event coordinator at The Tides was extremely accommodating and helped us have the most AMAZING event we could have imagined! We had friends and family come from all over the country and everyone had such a wonderful weekend. The staff, the food, accommodations, weather and views could not have been better! Highly recommend this venue!

Willowynn Barn is located in the small town of Santa Fe Texas, 25 miles from Galveston and 30 miles south of Houston Texas. Our farmhouse wedding and event venue holds up to 250 guests and is located on 18 acres of private property with a chapel and many other outdoor ceremony sites to choose from. The Barn has an all white interior with a beautifully designed bridal suite and an amazing grooms room, each having their own private garden areas to enjoy. The Barn also has a full catering kitchen, a veranda for cocktail hour and we even have a on-site shot donkey to entertain your guests!!

Willowynn was the first and only venue I had to visit. I was sold the minute I stepped foot on the venue. It is such a magical place with beautiful views at any time of the year. When I booked the venue the atrium hadn’t even been built yet, I was simply sold on the vision of what it could be. The venue was so beautiful on the day of, my guests had all their jaws on the floor. When you step into the reception hall you cannot help but feel a sense of awe because it is just such a gorgeous place with high ceilings and natural lighting coming from everywhere. Do not skip out on making use of the atrium for photos! The bridal suite brought all my princess dreams to life of course but my husband also was treated like a king because they actually have a groom’s suite. Yes, you heard me they do not shove their men into a coat closet. It is a whole suite for the men to hang out and it is decadent. However, Willowynn is so much more than just a beautiful venue it is the people that really make it. Everyone who works there really makes you feel like family when you arrive. They could make anything happen without you having finished speaking it out loud. The night before when we had dropped off our stuff for the venue it was late and we wanted to just go anywhere for dinner but Alisha got on the phone and made a dinner reservation for 15 people before we could even bat an eye. I forgot a speaker for getting ready and magically one was already plugged in the bridal suite. I don’t think a bride could even try to be stressed at Willowynn. Trust me, I tried to stress. It was just impossible when you have such a professional staff buzzing around making literal dreams come true. The whole planning process was so simple, at any point when I had a question I could reach out and have it answered. I also highly recommend that you use all their friendors. When you put together a team of people that are used to working together you will not have to answer any questions because they all just simply work so well together. I could not have made a better decision than to have picked Willowynn. You also cannot have a wedding with Willie because he truly is the star of the show, we were just opening acts!

We loved having our wedding at Arizona Nordic Village! The venue was gorgeous with its rustic-chic barn decor and beautiful mountain views. The staff were incredibly kind and easy to work with every step of the way. Communication was smooth, and they were very responsive to all our questions and requests leading up to the big day. They truly helped make our wedding vision come to life. The only downside was the extra fees for upgrading chairs and extending event hours (sort of like hidden costs for what you think should just be included. But otherwise, we were thrilled with Arizona Nordic Village and would wholeheartedly recommend them to other couples!

They are prompt, knowledgeable and beyond helpful. We got married on the lakeside & had our reception by the Gazebo. The venue is breathtaking. The service is spectacular. My guests said it was the best wedding food they have every had. The bartenders made amazing drinks and people rarely had to wait. Camp Sacajawea was the best decision we made while wedding planning! We knew we didn’t want a standard ball room wedding but never could have imagined a venue as cool as Camp Sacajawea. The day we saw it we knew it was for us. The staff was super kind and helpful! The ambiance is eclectic and lends its self to so many possibilities, they even have a bunch of decor other couples have donate following their events to pay it forward to the next couple! You can use any vendors you want to make your event exactly as you wish! They even offer lawn games and, archery / axe throwing for events. We also came from out of state and they were super flexible/ supportive to make sure we were comfortable. Don’t hesitate if you’re interested, worth every penny! Camp Hidden Valley was the perfect venue for our wedding weekend! We were able to snag a June weekend for our wedding and it provided an incredible experience for us and our guests. The venue isn't too hard to find and as long as you communicate well with your guests the check in and check out our easy. There are multiple ceremony locations which is great since you never know what the weather in Maryland will do on a given weekend. The venue crew is easy to work with and were able to accommodate multiple pre-wedding day visits so we could get all of our ducks in a row. Extra shout out to Lindsay for being super on top of communications and overall a huge help!

How much do wedding & reception venues cost?

The cost of wedding venues varies, with factors influencing cost including size, location, guest count, and, most importantly, whether things like catering and rentals are included. The more a reception venue near you includes, the higher the cost. When considering venues, try to compare prices apples-to-apples. If one venue includes catering and rentals in their pricing and the other doesn’t, you need to figure out how much additional cost those outside vendors would be to make a true comparison. Before booking, be sure you’re aware of additional costs outlined in your contract, like parking fees and weather-related considerations (adding a tent, etc.).

What questions should we ask wedding venues?

When talking with a potential venue, always ask about 1) their availability and 2) their capacity. Some popular venues book up peak season Saturdays nearly 2 years in advance—if your first choice date isn’t available, consider your flexibility on day of the week and year. While maximum capacity is non-negotiable, venues might have guidance on what guest count will be most comfortable. Also, you’ll want to understand what is and is not included in the venue’s fees.
