About this venue

Located in Flagstaff, AZ, Arizona Nordic Village offers a beautiful venue for weddings in the hills. Nestled in the foothills of the San Francisco mountains, this setting is surrounded by stately aspens and pines. The village has more than 40 kilometers of trails and is close to the Grand Canyon, ideal for adventure seekers. Arizona Nordic Village has been helping the people of Flagstaff have fun outdoors for more than 35 years. The team here aims to provide a beautiful, serene setting while causing as little disruption to nature as possible. They are happy to welcome couples planning all manner of weddings, including elopements, commitment ceremonies, and vow renewal.

The lodge and ski trails established in 1984 are still mostly in use today. Throughout the years, camping options have increased with overnight yurts, cabins and campsites now in place. In addition, larger yurts and a tent have been added to assist with equipment rentals, more visitors and special events such as summer weddings and running races.

Description

Our overnight package goes from 12pm - 10am the following day, and includes our front country units for your guests to use & sleep in. In our front country, we have 6 yurts available (sleeps 2 adults - one full size futon), as well as 4 cabins, which have a twin bunk bed, and a queen bed, tables. All of our overnight units have wood stoves, tables, chairs, and a fire ring and picnic table outside. Restrooms are located in the main lodge.

Communication was severely lacking unfortunately with the Arizona Nordic Village. The space was pretty even though a lot of agreed upon things did not happen. They made sure the snow did not take down the tent and a staff even stayed overnight to do so. However, they failed to block off the calendar one night so my party almost had no lodging even when already paid. The manager was amazing but the communication from the wedding team and us was lacking throughout the whole process. Many changes were made to the grounds that were not communicated with us.

We will take full accountability regarding any miscommunication or oversight on lodging. We did call all bookings that occurred that week to ensure you had the full lodging you were promised for your guests to resolve that issue. I know the unexpected early winter weather, and some of the issues that came with it, were a bit out of our control. And even with working around the clock to resolve the issues with the snow we just couldn't have predicted some of the things that arose. Nonetheless, we worked immediately to find solutions as soon as issues arose. We understand your disappointment and I have sent you an email to address the issue further. We loved having our wedding at Arizona Nordic Village! The venue was gorgeous with its rustic-chic barn decor and beautiful mountain views. The staff were incredibly kind and easy to work with every step of the way. Communication was smooth, and they were very responsive to all our questions and requests leading up to the big day. They truly helped make our wedding vision come to life. The only downside was the extra fees for upgrading chairs and extending event hours (sort of like hidden costs for what you think should just be included. But otherwise, we were thrilled with Arizona Nordic Village and would wholeheartedly recommend them to other couples!
