After studying music composition and performance at Salisbury University, David migrated from the small-town atmosphere of his youth on the Eastern Shore of Maryland to the Baltimore-Washington metropolitan area, where he has since been playing music for a living. He now performs regularly along the mid-Atlantic region of the US, occasionally touring in other parts of the country as well. In the process, he has developed a strong fan base and attracted attention from many well-known names in the music industry and beyond, from Performing Songwriter magazine to Dean Dinning of Toad the Wet Sprocket to Ben Stein.

Tiffany Rose Shanta began playing violin and piano at a very young age. She comes from a musical family, having first been taught by her mother, an accomplished harpist, before being under the tutelage of world renowned violinist and conductor, Luis Haza. She toured in France and Germany, and performed at Carnegie Hall. For many years now, Tiffany has performed for weddings and special events in the Washington, DC and surrounding areas. Some of her past clients and venues include: The King of Saudi Arabia, the Library of Congress, The National Press Club, The Kennedy Center, The Smithsonian.

As a young child, Ricardo (Richard) was introduced to the guitar by his father, the eminent classical guitarist John E. Marlow. He went on to receive a degree from the James Madison School of Music (James Madison University) in 1997. Mr. Marlow subsequently took up the flamenco guitar and studied with master, Gerardo Núñez, in Sanlúcar de Barrameda, Spain, and continues to do so yearly since 1999. In 1997 Mr. Marlow began playing professionally as a guitarist for the Arte Flamenco Dance Company and in venues such as The Kennedy Center’s Millennium Stage and the Baltimore Museum of Art, among others.

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990, our meeting house was constructed in 1930 during the administration of the Quaker president, Herbert Hoover. It was built to serve as a house of worship and a gathering place for those wanting to “seek peace and pursue it.” The building was enlarged in 1950. In 1970, we acquired the red brick Quaker House, Carriage House and garden at 2121 Decatur Place NW. Built in the 1920s and also on the National Register, these buildings today house a number of nonprofit organizations and small businesses as well as additional event spaces. With multiple interior spaces and gardens, we can accommodate events of various sizes and layouts, from 2 to 300. We host individuals, non-profit organizations, and for-profit entities. The Wharf Dockmaster Building is located at the end of District Pier and your rental includes the space on the pier around it. You have wrap around balconies and 270 degree views of the river and boats, plus the Washington Monument. Your rental gives you the building for the day so you can do any advance decorating, load in etc. It is unfurnished space – typically your caterer will coordinate tables, chairs etc. and help you design the look you want. Our inside capacity is typically 100 seated dinner style or 140-150 standing cocktail style.

Jill started DJing in 2003 for Associated Consultants, for schools, nightclubs, weddings & corporate events! She has been the DJ for Linedanceforyou, an organization that teaches line dances of all styles, since 2006, which serves the Northern Va. area on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays. Because Jill is also a professional musician, she is made constantly aware of all genres of music, by engaging with the public 7 days a week. She can easily play a night of Latino, trap, country, oldies, and current dance tunes but also has a children’s library of songs for school events.

Formed in the Washington area, Veronneau quickly gained widespread recognition for their live shows – the recognition became international with the release of their debut album Joie de Vivre – Joy of Living, released in 2011. The album went to #9 in the Jazzweek World Music chart and had extensive radio play throughout the US and Europe, leading to shows in the UK, where the band performed live on BBC Radio, and in Canada. La Mer,the 1930’s French song from the album, has become a major hit on internet radio and Youtube where it has garnered over 30,000 views.
