Adam Griffin Photo

5.0

  • Editorial style
  • Starts at $8,000
  • Serves Veterans Administration, CA

I’m Adam—a Boston native who’s now roaming around California photographing everything I see. When I’m not behind the camera you can usually find me in the kitchen experimenting with new recipes, sipping a dirty martini with friends, jamming to Taylor Swift in the car, or taking my rescue pup Ollie to the park or on long neighborhood walks. I got my first film camera when I was 8, and it was love at first sight. Capturing your story is more than just a job for me. From destination elopements to parties of the century, I've seen it all and love every minute of a wedding day.

Awarded Best of Zola
My husband and I were beyond lucky to have Adam as our wedding photographer this past September. Not only did he give us the gift of the most beautiful photos I've ever seen, but he was also such a joy to be around. He makes you feel comfortable during the whole experience and even played me a Taylor Swift themed playlist during our engagement photos!! What more could I ask for!! I will forever recommend Adam to everyone I know. He's truly is the best out there!

Stephen Tang Photo

  • Starts at $4,100
  • Serves Veterans Administration, CA

While some photographers emphasize their gear or trendy post-processing, I take pride in subject-photographer interaction - the relation I build with clients, picking up on nuances in pose and expression while we shoot, anticipating the viewers' response - because ultimately, that's how photographs that matter to us are created. I'm a native New Yorker who found myself relocating to Los Angeles and making it my home. Wherever you'd like to have your wedding, it would be my pleasure to be your photographer.

Awarded Best of Zola
Stephen was more than a photographer, he basically helped me plan my elopement. He talked me through the pros and cons of various locations, and helped me think through the process of obtaining a license for photography. He took time to understand that we were striving for a simple, but intimate wedding; he was patient with our cranky 2 year old; and endlessly gracious with our elderly parents who were along for the ride. Importantly, my husband and I are terrible at being photographed (we are awkward) and Stephen made us feel at ease with our surroundings. I would hire Stephen again in a heartbeat.

Murtazzah and his team at MKE were absolutely fantastic. Their professionalism, kindness, and expertise were outright unmatched. They met with us regularly before our wedding, they were always available via email or phone if we had questions, and the incredibly reasonable price helped us to stay within our budget and still have the best experience with a photographer I have ever had. Additionally, they fit in with both of our families so well, it felt like we had friends taking photos on our special day and that feeling really made everyone feel so relaxed and stress-free! Brittney Raine Photography

5.0

  • Editorial style
  • Starts at $7,000
  • Serves Veterans Administration, CA

**PSA: Please inquire via email/website instead of through Zola!** I'm Brittney, a wedding and portrait photographer from Los Angeles. I'm also a ceramicist, houseplant enthusiast, traveler (no place is too far), enneagram 4, ice cream lover, and introvert fascinated by human emotion. Photographing weddings has truly been my dream job, and I feel so honored every time I'm invited to capture intimate moments in peoples’ lives.

Awarded Best of Zola
Brittney is a gem of a photographer and a shining star of a person. She captured our wedding more beautifully than either of us could have imagined or wished for. Being photographed by her feels like hanging out with your chillest, most talented friend, who knows how to work ALL your angles. Aside from being talented and kind, she radiates the coolest, most calming vibes throughout every situation. We shot our engagement photos outside on a cold, rainy day and somehow Brittney managed to make us feel like it was warm and sunny. Throughout the course of our wedding day, she kept us calm and on schedule, making everything feel like an effortless breeze. But Brittney is so much more than a photographer. Even in the time leading up to our wedding, she was there to answer all questions and give suggestions about everything wedding related. She answers her e-mails so promptly and comprehensively, and is always willing to jump on the phone to talk it out. Brittney provided so much priceless guidance when we didn't know who else to look to. Ultimately, Brittney is the full package. I'd say triple threat, but she's much more than that. She's not only a really good photographer, but she's a really good person. TLDR; Hire Brittney, it'll be the best wedding decision you make (aside from marrying your spouse, I guess).

Kristina Lee Photography

5.0

  • Editorial style
  • Starts at $3,700
  • Serves Veterans Administration, CA

Born in the desert (AZ Baby!) and relocated to the sea. I firmly believe that a good day starts with a cup of coffee and ends with glass of red wine. I own more jewelry than I do clothes and in my opinion, too much gold does not exist. My biggest passion will always be photography. I’ve had a camera in my hands since I was a little girl – I would even set up “stylized shoots” in my family’s living room that consisted of sheets pinned to the wall, my friends and fake flowers (embarrassing, but I’m not kidding!). I strive for those editorial, Vogue-like shots, but I really live for those private, in-between moments.

Awarded Best of Zola
After being engaged for 2 years without any real wedding plans confirmed, my fiancé and I finally found a venue and set a date, 2 months out. With a short window to find vendors, the photographer was going to be the most critical. I was using Zola for general wedding inspo & invitations, so I did a quick search for photographers and came across Kristina Lee Photography. I didn’t have much time to contemplate, I had to make decisions quickly. I reached out to Kristina and scheduled a call with her the very next day. My first question was to make sure she was available on our wedding date…she was. We got to talking and she was extremely personable and easy to talk through the details of our wedding. It was a bonus that she had shot at our venue previously and she knew all the great spots for amazing photos. On the day of our wedding, Kristina fit right into my bridal party. We chatted all things Scandoval, while taking amazing pictures of our entire bridal party including our furbaby, Carlos. My fiancé and I never took engagement photos, so we didn’t really know what to expect when taking our post ceremony photos. Kristina directed us and knew exactly how to capture the most amazing moments of our day. She made us feel comfortable, sexy and so in love. All of our photos came out amazing! She sent us a few photos in a couple days and we were able to download the entire collection within 8 weeks. I am so happy that we had the opportunity to work with Kristina. She was professional, shot amazing photos and we had fun working with her! Thank you Kristina for capturing the best moments of our wedding day. I’ll definitely be reaching out to Kristina for photo shoots in the future.

Sam Turchin was the best photographer I could have possibly chosen to capture my wedding day. She was very flexible and accommodating with coming up with a price package that worked for me. She had great communication before the wedding day so we could plan exactly what I wanted. On the day of, she kept a very professional and positive attitude when things didn’t go exactly as planned, and of course her photographs were STUNNING. She provided a sneak peek within a week and all of our photos arrived in a very organized gallery within 2 months of our wedding!

Hanna Walkowaik Photography

5.0

  • Editorial style
  • Starts at $6,500
  • Serves Veterans Administration, CA

Hanna Walkowaik is a wedding photographer based in Los Angeles, California, frequenting Chicago & NYC, traveling all around the world to capture love. Hanna creates artful and storytelling images of your day using digital and film. Her photos are filled with vibrant colors, candid moments and touches of nostalgia. She mixes editorial and documentary styles to not only give you beautiful portraits and captured memories but artistic images to hang in your home. With a Bachelor of Arts degree in photography her approach is artistic, purposeful and technically skillful.

My (now) husband and I hired Hanna for her distinct style: think Vogue, editorial, timeless. Hanna shot our wedding day in digital and in film; her editing style masterfully and seamlessly marries the 2 mediums together. She exceeded our already high expectations and gave us ART that belongs in a museum or gallery. While the artsy, abstract photos are my personal favorite, our family and friends cannot stop raving about the candid images she and her 2nd shooter (we had Jake on our wedding day) got throughout the day. As the bride and groom, you will be pulled in a million different directions on the big day and will inevitably miss a lot of small moments with your guests. However, having these photos to look back on makes us feel like we didn’t miss anything. Our wedding gallery is nothing short of a time travel machine that takes us back to our favorite day with our favorite people. Now, onto what it’s like to work with Hanna. Let’s put it this way: I’d trust Hanna with my life. Hanna became my de-facto timekeeper on our wedding day. She kept me and my rowdy friends on time without making it feel like we were on a schedule. In fact, Hanna kept the vibes going even when she’s working hard behind the camera. As the bride/groom, you will be spending your entire day with your photographer - might as well find someone fun!!! She also remembered and made time for the smallest requests I had during our planning call: pics of my friends and I jamming around the piano and architecture shots. Those became some of my most treasured photos. In short, Hanna was a dream photographer to work with. 10/10.

Fresh Studio

  • Starts at $2,200
  • Serves Veterans Administration, CA

I started Fresh Studio in 2009 to share my creative voice. Fast forward to 14 years later, it has become a platform for telling visual stories about the beauty of human connection and celebration. I live to experience the richness of collective human energy. Whether it's a wedding, a convention of the minds, or a performance on the stage, I'm at my best in this world when I'm behind a lens using photography to document your important moments, freezing them in time to live beyond a single day.

I love working with other wedding vendors who are committed to the success of the event. It is the most important time for a couple and often for their families as well. Jami was a true professional, dedicated, genuine, a clear communicator and very flexible even as things changed. I hope to work with Jami again and I hope that you take the time to learn more about what Fresh Studio has to offer. If you’re looking for a photographer that sees the vision, executes, and delivers (even when it’s freezing cold out), Fresh Studio is the way to go. They have set the bar!

THE GOLD COLLECTIVE

5.0

  • Editorial style
  • Starts at $16,000
  • Serves Veterans Administration, CA

Authentic, timeless, essence, natural, and candid are the most significant narratives when capturing a wedding day and are always at the center of the brand's heart. We love natural light, a strong action-stopping camera flash, capturing enchanting couples with inventive dance moves, making new friends, a flowing champagne tower, and a heartfelt toast.

I adored working with the The Gold Collective team! Overall, Ivy provided a calming presence to the wedding day. She provided a fun energy for the bride and guests, so they felt comfortable in front of the camera. And as a planner, I felt at ease as communication was easy and thorough during the planning process and on the wedding day allowing for a structured day so we can get the best photos possible for everyone. In the end, she was able to capture beautiful portraits, thoughtful details of the day, and timeless candids.

It me! I am your new third wheel, your new childhood friend, your new girl behind the camera! I've been doing this whole living my dream thing for 7 years now and I couldn't be happier! It all started one fall summer night at winters end... totally kidding one day I just said "F-THIS! Photography makes me unbelievably happy, Let's do this!" But my joy is not only from photographing love. It's also because I married the most amazing man on this planet. Leonard is my best friend of 10 years and husband for 7! I still dream about our wedding day and feel like I am always living in that wedding day happiness.

From our engagement session, Cindy was just the sweetest and understood our dynamic so well. We don’t always take pictures together and she captured our love. She is extremely fun and easy going. Our wedding day was just a blast with her and she kept everything running smoothly! She has a gift!

Hey I’m Sierra! You are here for a REASON. I am a Colorado/California based natural light photographer, specializing in big weddings + intimate elopements. Capturing love while getting to tell your remarkable, unique story is the best most special honor. Believe me it is more than just a job to me it is how I am choosing to spend the BEST years of my life and I want to spend them with you! Let’s have fun, let’s be vulnerable, let’s have the best time of our lives while you run around with your hearts on your sleeves. Why? Because we only get to tell this story once so let’s make it the best one ever written.

Our wedding was our third time working with Sierra and Jullian (Youphoria Films), and yet again, they exceeded our expectations. I used Sierra for my wedding gift Boudoir photos, we used her for our Elopement event (35 people) and we just used them for our Black Tie Wedding (80 people). They are such a supported and enthusiastic team, while also being extremely calm and composed the entire time. We never once worried about their performance as they are always professional, communicative, and just overall fantastic. We have loved our photos and videos, and will always recommend them to our friends and family! Get yourself a crew who feels like friends, because that is what they do and it makes the world of a difference!

We are so lucky that May was available to capture us at the start of our life together. Because our civil ceremony started at 8am, May arrived at 7:30am with donuts and a smile. She’s incredibly thoughtful! I was a little nervous about coming off natural in pictures, but her gentle and sweet demeanor instantly put us at ease. My earliest memories of photography are from when I attended weddings at 5 or 6 years old. I would photograph everyone at these weddings with a small, plastic, film camera and loved every moment. That joy of photography and capturing beauty and love has stayed with me ever since. I have a better camera now, but I still can't wait to capture your love.

I have hired Tom to take headshots for me as a musician, as well as to photograph my engagement to my fiancee in August 2020. He is extremely talented as a photographer, and I couldn't have asked for anyone better for those jobs. He makes clients feel comfortable and beautiful, which gets them to look and feel their best for the photos.

Betsy Newman Photography

Betsy is a lifestyle, wedding, and music photographer based in Los Angeles. She discovered photography as a creative outlet while studying theater at USC. Shortly after graduation, Betsy was hired as the tour photographer for Maroon 5 and documented 34 concerts across the country. Since then, Betsy has been on the road with One Direction, One Republic, Charlie Puth, and most recently Trevor Noah. Betsy's eye for candid moments and storytelling has led to photographing weddings around the world. She lives for documenting life and love through the lens. Betsy looks forward to hearing from you and bringing your vision to life!

I am writing this review wayyyy too late (over 2 years after my engagement photos were taken) and it has been eating me away inside because I need to give Betsy all the love and praise she deserves. Betsy photographed our engagement photos and would have done our wedding as well if she wasn’t already booked. As a wedding planner myself, I had worked with Betsy previously and she was always so fun, easy to work with and matched my energy on every level! She gets so excited when she knows she is ‘getting the shot’ that you can’t help but get excited too. I had a very specific vision for our engagement photos and she was 100% on board to make it happen. I love the photos so much and will treasure them forever as they document a very exciting time in our lives. I absolutely love working with Betsy and will definitely be booking her again in the future!

Lulan Wedding Photography and Videography

5.0

  • Editorial style
  • Starts at $1,500
  • Serves Veterans Administration, CA

Lulan studio is a premium wedding photography and videography studio based in Los Angeles. We specialize in cinematic style wedding photography and videography in LA. Our work encompasses wedding and engagement photography and videography, elopement and portrait sessions.

We found Lulan Studio because my husband was looking through our venue's instagram page and found a photo he loved that was taken by one of their photographers. The cinematic and photojournalistic style was exactly what we were looking for, and knew we found our photographer when we went to their website. The communication leading up to the wedding was always very quick and responsive. Alli was our photographer, and I cannot express enough how absolutely wonderful she was. Not only is she phenomenal at what she does and her work obviously speaks for itself, but she made the whole day fun and I always felt her looking out for us. When my veil kept coming off as I walked down the aisle, I was just going to forget it in the moment so I didn't have to deal with it. When I got to the front, I felt someone securing it in the back of my hair. At the time, I thought it was my mother-in-law since I had given it to her, but later I was told Alli said that I would regret it, and she put it on for me. In retrospect, she is absolutely right and I can't possibly say how appreciative and supported I felt by her the whole day. You will be overwhelmingly happy with Lulan Studio's work and Alli by your side.
