I took up photography at the ripe age of 11 with a Polaroid I borrowed from an aunt. It quickly became my sketchbook as I worked to capture stills of the world and people around me. Those images have continued to pay emotional dividends throughout my life, helping me better understand what I have now come to see through a new scope. They are grounding, melancholic, funny and beautiful. Some of my most cherished possessions.

Indigo West is a an organic, photojournalistic approach that honors the authentic candor of the moment. I aim to work with fun, minimal direction that taps into the natural dynamic of the couple and turns away from anything that feels forced or overly theatrical.

    We enjoyed the overall experience with Indigo West from the start. He understood our preference for mostly candid photography and he did mostly that, leaving us plenty of time to mingle with guests. The photos he did direct we also loved it was nice he kept that quick, which made it very easy for us! Very happy with this vendor!

    Daniel was a pure joy to work with. Went above and beyond driving all over Santa Barbara for our wedding! We loved our photos and the experience with him so much. We hate having pictures taken and he made it feel so effortless. Look no further!!

    We loved having Daniel at our wedding. Starting with our engagement, he was professional and easy to work with. Day of wedding he started earlier than expected, which was nice as it allowed for our day to flow in a way that wasn't at all rushed. We felt great and it shows in the pictures! He captured some really amazing intimate images when we didn't even realize he was there. My husband is a photographer an he especially loved the compositions and angles. Would give 100 stars if we could!

    We loved working with Daniel of Indigo West so much. His energy was perfect for our event. He has an easy going personality but is very organized, which we appreciated. In the chaos or a very logistical day, his energy and calm demeanor was truly appreciated. Not to mention he captured our wedding in such a magical way.
