During the 18th century, it served as a tavern on the Conestoga wagon trade. In the mid-19th century it became an inn and hosted numerous travelers. Purchased by James Hale & Louise McClure Steinman in 1927, it was fully renovated and restored in 1930 by architect Frank J. Everts. Among the venue’s many visitors was the great-nephew of Edgar Allan Poe. Today, the estate abounds with natural beauty, where it boasts 3,300 varieties of annual flowers, 160 perennials, 160 rose bushes, and 400 tropical plants. We have 4,500 square feet of indoor space; this includes our cozy tasting room and adjacent event space. We also have nearly 3,000 square feet of covered, wrap-around porch. It too, is an equally great space and overlooks various fields. You’ll often see our Grape Vine Patrol Squad (rescue dogs) out walking in the fields. We have eleven in all, and their job is to patrol the vineyards and keep out prey. Now, the duo at Cracked Pepper Catering are excited to finally announce the opening of their newest venture in dining and service! Open to the public, with easy and nearby parking on site, PepperTheo Cafe is located on the Lancaster Theological Seminary grounds in a devastatingly unique space known as the refectory.

Loads of free parking and is handicapped accessible. We can accommodate Corporate Events as well as both a Wedding Ceremony and Reception. Ten Oaks Ballroom has two award winning caterers for you to choose from and are an integral part of the Ten Oaks Ballroom Rental Agreement. Our caterers will provide the linens, crystal, china, service, etc. to create a memorable event.

Greenbank is a beautiful setting for your DIY event, with historic charm and a natural outdoor setting by the Red Clay Creek. You’ll want to plan hours before and after your event for setup/decorating and cleanup. You can choose to rent in smaller blocks of time using our Standard Package or take advantage of our Wedding Package: it provides access to the site across two days to allow for stress-free setup, deliveries, rehearsals, photographs, and event preparations, plus cleaning services and other special accommodations.

YROC was established in 2020 at Yacht Haven Marina in Gloucester Point, Va. We offer an island coastal menu and a fun time for all our guests. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the oldest investment bank in America (built in 1901) located in the heart of Baltimore’s historic Financial District, was restored and converted to an upscale venue. The restoration included the building’s original marble, oversized windows, a historically-accurate bar and a Tiffany dome.
