The location was part of 25 acres donated to Clay County for building the original county seat, which remains today. Our venue sits on a hill with a scenic view of seasonal foliage. The sunrise and sunset are awesome. My husband and I turned the 12000 square feet into an awesome venue. We're proud to introduce you to The Krystal Venue. We have a VIP room and 2 siutes with a bathroom in each. We are handicap accessible. We're here to provide service to everyone who requests it. We do 1 wedding a day because we want our wedding couples to have an amazing day at our venue. let us do all the setting up and breakdown for you. our couples don't have to worry about cleaning up.

​Our names are Craig and Nancy Rogge, and we have lived on and owned this property for over 34 years. We have raised two children here and have used our barns and property all these years to raise horses, cows, chickens, ducks, rabbits, cats, and dogs. We have 30+ years of wonderful memories and stories on our little piece of paradise! ​Our barns were built in 1944 by a previous owner, Walter Kurzweil, who our street is named after and who used the property and barns for a dairy farm. Walter Kurzweil had deep ties to the Raymore community as well as had family connections to the Maxine Dean family (Walter was her Uncle), another prominent Raymore name. ​ If you go back even further, our property was granted to a young man in 1857 as part of the “ScripWarrant Act of 1847.” At that time, public land was gifted through this Act to military personnel for their service in the Mexican-American War.

Located in Peculiar, Missouri, The Dogwood Gardens is a modern take on a rustic-style wedding event venue. The property is inclusive of eight and a half acres, full of scenic nature and ideal photo backdrops. Inside, couples will find separate get-ready spaces as well as a staircase tucked under a stunning balcony that leads back to the primary celebration area. Also accessible is a large professional prep area for caterers. This space allows a location for chefs to use, composing food to be served fresh. Fitted with a built-in bar, this venue offers up a dedicated area where couples can serve the drinks of their choice. During the celebration, in the main room, an 85-inch screen may be used for slideshows or presentations. These elements combined with the charm of a wood-carved hall provides a cozy setting with modern amenities. Outdoors, there are also plenty of spectacular spots to discover. Woods, water, and a cedar patio all welcome couples' explorations.
