The Terminal, located at Lakefront Airport, is a New Orleans Tradition, dating back to the 1930's. At the time of its grand opening it was considered an architectural masterpiece. Built by the same architect that designed the Louisiana State Capitol building, it was the first major airport in the region, and served proudly as a general aviation airport to this day. Inside the terminal building, travelers would find an Art Deco wonderland, featuring murals by artist Xavier Gonzalez, friezes by Enrique R. Alferez and an array of stone wall and floor treatments. Laurenia is housed inside the Pythian Temple which has a history of remarkable local significance. Smith Wendell (S.W.) Green, then one of the most prominent African-American businessmen in New Orleans, commissioned the construction of the Pythian Temple in 1908. The Pythian immediately played an integral part in New Orleans early civil rights movement. It towered over the surrounding neighborhood and became a center of the African American community. Since its inception, The Pythian Temple hosted popular performing groups and African-American carnival balls. The venue led to the formation of the Zulu Parading Club and even housed a popular rooftop bar known as “Piron’s Garden of Joy.” It is said that a young Louis Armstrong first played at The Pythian Temple. Laurenia is named after Smith Wendell (S.W.) Green’s wife. She assisted him in running his business, was a member of the NAACP, and was active in the early struggle for civil rights.

Rue Bourbon Events is a collection of historic spaces within the heart of the French Quarter. Our flagship 207-year-old building is housed within the same structure as the famed Old Absinthe House bar and offers three-floors of private event space. Rue Bourbon Events is a perfect fit for wedding welcome cocktail receptions, wedding after-parties, and goodbye brunches. We offer elevated beverage service with craft and signature cocktail menus available and partner with local legend Cristina Quackenbush to deliver stunning catering options. Spaces within our flagship building can be combined to offer cocktail-style reception space for up to 230 guests. The three floors are united via a spiral staircase. We do offer two satellite spaces for more casual affairs--think collegiate events and rowdier wedding afters. These two spaces are located at 201 and 400 Bourbon Street and do feature limited catering menus due to their lack of an on-property kitchen.

The Capital on Baronne has been hosting weddings, parties, and events in New Orleans since 2018. Our luxury property offers the diversity to be able to accommodate 100 guests up to 700 guests. We are one of the only venues in the downtown area that can seat 300 plus guests for a seated plated dinner all together that is not your typical hotel ballroom. Want to host your ceremony with us too no problem. Our custom-built removable walls and floor to ceiling curtain will help to create two separate spaces. The Capital on Baronne is so much more than your traditional venue! The Capital was built in 1927 originally as Canal Bank by Emile Weil. Funds from rentals help support a range of programs for students, faculty, and the community, including an Artists-in-Residence program that brings up to 100 visiting artists into NOCCA's classrooms each year; professional development funds for NOCCA faculty; and a series of concerts, gallery exhibitions, readings, and classes for the community.

This spacious Art Nouveau-meets-Rock'n'Roll church is perfect for your wedding! (2600 sq. ft.) 1st floor space which includes 3 separate entrances, 3 bathrooms, a huge "Interview With A Vampire"-inspired red and black Ballroom (45x19 ft /850 sq ft) with stage (19x9ft), baby grand piano, guitars, mics/PA, DJ booth, all leading into an open service space (665 sq ft) with antique bar, large kitchen/dining area, a cozy bedroom/dressing room/coatroom, connecting to our screened-in Nouveau Patio (300 sq ft) and lovely private backyard (400 sq ft). Upstairs a 2nd Kitchen/Dining Room and 4th bathroom is available for negotiable charge. We can recommend outside catering, table/chair rentals, higher-end sound system rental (we have a very simple PA and seating for about 70 throughout the 1st floor and garden). Though we don't produce events we can also suggest staff, DJ, and performers. Due to the age of the house we can't provide ADA accessibility for entry or bathrooms.
