About this venue

Shane and I gave up our lives in the big city of Houston, both quit our jobs to pursue a life that was more in alignment with where our hearts are. Kara spent 20 years in Real Estate and Shane spent 30 years in Petro Chemical industry. They sold their house in Texas, bought a Poultry farm in Mississippi and now the Homestead Event Venue. They currently enjoy their animals, providing poultry/food for their community and serving in whatever way they can. Homestead Whittington Farm makes hosting your event a stress-free and simple process so you can actually enjoy your time here. Offering discounts and access to local vendors and suppliers help ensure your stay is everything you've dreamt of.

This former Brookhaven Nursery is rich with history that our new owners will keep alive for many years. Not only does Homestead host wedding ceremonies and receptions- but they also have beautiful options for showers, birthday parties, engagement parties, corporate events, holiday parties, and the list goes on. If you can vision it- Homestead can make it come to fruition! Kara is hands-on and dedicated to making your event go smoothly and be the most enjoyable experience possible.
